I've recently purchased a rebuilt 350 transmission. It has been awhile since I've installed one but I was thinking that the speedometer gear was on the drivers side but this one is located on the passenger side. Is this correct? Also will a gear assembly from a powerglide work on a 350?
    Thanks, John

Does it have to removed and turned over. Don't mean to be stupid but didn't really want to have to tare everything down again.
    Thanks

should be easy to fix if that's the problem, there is an o ring that seals the tailhousing to the case, just remove the 4 bolts and pull it off about 1/2", turn it over, push it on, install the bolts.

what year powerglide? if it's cast iron, no, but if it's aluminum, probably yes.
