I,m building a 27 to actualy go circle track race on the dirt. There,s a group from Bakersfield Ca called Okiebowlhardtops racing old Iron. Mines powered by, what else, a Yblock Ford 312. Yblock Mike
Sits real nice, take the roof down to top of the front screen (chop to get rid of the header panel) Im also getting tired of over chopped cars, existing ones are cool but too much of good thing .
The best T coupe chop I've seen was Joe Mac's old full-fendered car. I'd call it "medium", with the quarter windows a little taller than square. There was a feature on it in Hop Up a couple of years ago, but I'm not sure which issue it was.
Nice work, Very nice car! It reminds me of my favourite car from the 50's. I'm attaching a pic that Jeff Norwell did for us for our local show this Sunday
Some more progress on the T... Flipped the Firewall ( modified the lower part of it ) Changed the Model T Dash so it will accept a Model A gauge cluster. ( also filled a couple of extra holes, and the notch fot the original steering Column.)
Lookin good! Were you happy with how the firewall turned out? It looks pretty nice in the picture. I've been thinking about doing that to mine, any tips. I need to make more clearance for my distributor. Love the dash!
My personal favorite of this type of coupe is the Gunter Bros. drag car from the late '60s/early 70s. It had a pretty substantial chop, that gave it a bitch'n stance. Having said that, make sure to not get too carried away with the style thing. Model T coupes are not exactly roomy inside, and after channeling, a big chop might make the pilot and copilot a REAL snug fit. A friend of mine outfoxed himself on this deal once, and ended up with substantially less cockpit room than he expected or needed. It really detracted from the enjoyment of the car.
here is the one i sold to Sam F. and then he chopped it 8" i think. I'm still kickin my self in the ass for selling it.
The rust repairs are done on the lower part of the 1/4 panels, Mounted the LicencePlate & Taillights. I lengthened the Exhaust pipes ( they dumped down just before the Rear Axle, now they go up and over, and then out to line up with the Taillights. The Floor is in. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=187815 The Seat is bolted down. The Steering Column is in. Enfo helped me last weekend and put the Windshield in its Frame, Peter at the Old Ford Store had the Glass cut for me. Throttle Pedal is in and hooked up, but I dont like it... I'm going to move it over a Inch or so... The list of things to do is getting shorter....
that would look killer "monkee mobile" RED !!!!...serious,its going to be great when ya hit the street with it
Yeah, I've been doing some rust repairs. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=195622 I'll probably have some more pics tomorrow, or the day after...

Here's the car I was talking about. This thing says "traditional" to me in a way that very few cars do. DRD57 photos.
