hey i was wondering if anyone on here knows the guy with the 61 buick lesabre gold with copper roof. i think he's on this board. i just wanted to ask about the supremes and what he did to make them fit. ex. machine the hubs or the wheels to fit the large buick hubs. and what backspacing etc. thanks in advance, doug
That would be Jeff G. aka Big Jeff. He's not too computer savy but a buddy of his on here is. I love that car.......he Jeff if you get this do ya still wana to trade?
thanks delivery, i got the number,,,, breaker i called you the other day but no answer. you got my mobile 8069305377
well i ain't him but i do have a bellflower style buick with supremes. i run 15x7 standard and you have to machine a coupla spots or do like i did and run some real thin spacers up front to clear. forgive me for not remembering the size of the spacer but i think they maybe 1/8th in or something close to that. i've been runnin em like that for like 4 or 5 years with no probs at all. oh yeah run standards not reverse. standards are just the right backspacing but reverse are to deep and will rub inside your fender. and by the way there's quite a few "the other" bellflower buick guys here. my car has was built like this 5-6 years ago and is getting rebuilt currently but still bellflower(60s) style. donnie(lownslow) has the sickest buick around you just never see us around much...ken....
thanks for the help and info luckystiff. you are officially the bellflower buick guy if you want. i just remember big jeff the owner of the above gold buick doing his intro as the bellflower buick guy. your buick looks good. drgnwgn your a fag. luckystiff please post a pic of lownslow's buick. i have a 61 invicta bubbletop sorry i don't have a pic. flattop might have one? maybe he'll read this.
Yes, Doug's buick is nice...but it doesn't handle too well in the mountains of California at around 100 mph.
nailhead, hey man i am too stupid to be able to post a pic but check out my site and there are some pics of it ........dig yours too.......
Do you still want to talk to Jeff? If so, let me know. I talk to him daily. His HAMB name is Road Hound, but he doesn't get online do to antique PC.
nail, wasn't tryin' to be an ass or anything just saying there's lots of us here. don't care for no titles thanks. i like that little buick alot. however i must say and this is just my opinion. supremes and skinny whites are better for a 60s style car. that and it needs a mild scallop job in my opinion, but what doesn't in my opinion. the plans for my car were originally as you see it plus a wild heavy flake candy oriental blue crazy ass scallop job. i wasn't as happy as i thaught when we sprayed it so now i'm going back to my original plan in redoing it.i remember your buick to now that i see the pic. nice car with lots of potential. you've got a much better start than i did. good luck. and by the way if your interested my supremes may be for sale. i'm considering skylark wires for the redo on my car. my supremes are 3-4years old but have very little miles on the and the cooper skinny whites they're wrapped in 5-10k maybe. there the high buck one from imperial wheel co. spokes have extra gussets that some of the cheaper ones i've seen don't(US Wheel Co). anyhowif interested let me know. and again never meant to sound like an ass...ken.... oh yeah i'll go back and see if i have pics of donnie's buick that he'll never finish because he's the rock star painter that can't work on his own shit.hahahaha.
grumpy, i talked to jeff tonight on the phone i found out everything i need thanks. luckystiff thanks for your help as well and i know you weren't trying to be an ass, i was just messing with ya. and thanks for the offer on the wheels but i already have a deal worked out on a set with skinny whites also. thanks, doug
