Mine's a 56, but it's the same roof line, windsheilds, and doors. Let me know if you have any specific questions, it's a pretty simple chop. Mine's ~4" in the front, and ~6" in the back, lexan windshelids, stock side gl***.

I think this "dip" is about all the '57 that's left. LOL

    What a shame to transform a '57 into that...but then again I'm partial to '57 chevys..

I chopped this one 3". I know it's not a traditional car but you get the idea of the chop.

I thot I owned a RADICAL chopped '57 hardtop...but this one is just a bit more radical than mine...at least mine keeps some semblance of a '57 Chevy and has not been transformed to look like a Ford product.

Norm Riparetti's 4 door at the Salinas Drags, 1958. Work in progress. Done by Wilde's Custom Shop. This was a new car at the time.

Those canted quads look right at home on that front end. Is that a 4 door hardtop? Do you know if the windshield was cut or sunk down into the cowl?

    Great pic, thanks for posting.

Yes it was a 4 door hardtop and it had a cut windshield. I don't remember any sunk windshield chops in those days. It's hard to see but the rear gl*** isn't even in the car yet. They were still working on it.
