I know that guy in the picture is going to need some ear protection. I'd seen these but like you haven't heard of anyone using one. A buddy of mine built one similar and he likes his.
I know we used to take alot of pnuematic hammers back when I worked there, but that was about 7 yrs ago.
Hey, These ( both the plannishing hammer and the English wheel) have corked off a shit storm of controversy in the metalshaping com- munity! People are buying these things and than bitchin' when the various parts on these "tools" take a shit, as if they were actually buying real metalshaping tools at this price point. Try the HAMB, alittle earlier this year for a bitch fest. Also try metalshapers.org and, if ya have to try metalmeet.org. At best, like the bead rolling machine sold by Hong Kong/Chi Com. they can best be considered as raw material with which to build tools. Swankey Devils C.C.
yea the bead roller from there sux i unfortunatly bought one and its in the trash but i bought the the 36 inch metal brake and it does a pretty dang good job for the at home builder with not alot of space
we have a similar one at our shop which was home built...it works good but noisy as hell and shakes everything off the table its mounted on. Only prob is we dont have the foot pedal rigged up so its one guy hold the trigger and the other hold the metal.
harbor freight is good for tools you know your going to break or have to weld and modify. Most of there neumatic tools dont hold up well
