Hey, I remember a while back, someone posted a link to a site that showed you roughly how much it would cost to build a car, and broke it down into sections (ch***is, body, drivetrain, etc). Does anyone know what that site was called? Thanks!
There is an Aussie site that gives a very rough guide... www.hot-rod.com.au and if i remember there is a link to the list there.
The one thing that I've seen kill more builds than genocide is the details. Nuts & bolts, lines, fasteners, line hold downs, wiring, electrical clips tabs, fuel/brakeline fillings. It adds up and it adds fast!
Street Rods by Michael offers parts list spreadsheets in PDF and Excel format. Labor isn't included. I've used them as a point from which to deviate... http://www.srbymichael.com/package/data/Build-Sheet-%20Drop-Axle.pdf http://www.srbymichael.com/package/data/Build-Sheet- Drop-Axle.xls Hope this helps.
