Looks more like this one doesn't it? This is from @ '63 - after Eelco bought out Fenn. Also has a Fenn front axle, not an I-beam.
Way cool, man. I am really looking forward to seeing you run this at Mokan this year. Woohoo!!! Malcolm
I'm thrilled that everything worked out for you. I too am looking forward to see you motor it down the track at MoKan.
Doc, what a cool ride, can't wait to see it run. Mondello is building my Nailhead right now, I'll tell him about this, I'm sure he will get a kick out of it.
This was redone by Rich for safety and basic ch***is strength. Also there was another tube welded to the firewall hoop, from the rear axle upright. The other dragster which Moon Eyes has is not a replica!
just recalled something else rich had mentioned when he built my car...the wheelbase is longer than a "standard" scotty fenn car. scotty had a theory that the wheelbase should be the same as the cir***furance of the rear tire ... that makes for a pretty short race car. I think he said this one had been stretched to 103" or so (still pretty short). LJ
Words escape me. I've never met the man, and hate him, already. DAMN that is one sweet dragster. Congratulations, that is just flat gorgeous. See ya at MoKan.
