Fire up your hot rod or custom, and drive it out to Busse Woods to join the Chrome Czars for our first ever Spring Hot Rod Picnic & Czar-B-Q! Expect some rockin’ tunes, good food, old friends, and lots of righteous vintage tin.

Date and Time:
Sunday, May 20
12:30pm at Busse Woods

Meet us at 12:00pm sharp at Hot Rod Chassis & Cycle (59 Factory Road, Addison, IL) for a 15-mile cruise up the road to the Picnic & Czar-B-Q at Busse Woods.

The Deal:
The Czars will provide burgers, brats, dogs, sides, chips, soda and water for everyone. All other adult-type beverages are strictly bring-your-own (but they ARE allowed on the grounds, as long as they are CANS ONLY – no glass bottles).Kids/Familes welcome.

It’s a covered picnic grove – we rock the grill rain or shine.

Cook County Forest Preserve: Busse Woods, Grove #17
Busse Woods is easy to find – it’s basically just east of Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL. Busse Woods is bounded by I-290/IL-53 on the west, Golf Road (IL-68) on the north, Arlington Heights Road on the east, and Biesterfield Road on the south. Higgins Road (IL-72) runs through it diagonally. To reach Grove #17, enter the Forest Preserve on Higgins Road (the entrance furthest to the west, on the south side of the street), and follow signs for the Czar-B-Q.

dammit! stupid farm season! that sounds like a great time! my beater would never make it that far yet, but id sure come up anyway! dammit! stupid farm season!

if im not to burnt from our show, imma try to make it up for the srcape drive on june 9th.so save me a burger!

 

I don't mean to rub it in, but Hot Rod 101 is in the morning and then we're going to the BBQ. I'll be teaching steering wheel repair, shift/dash knob casting, and Vesparex is teaching stainless trim repair.

I'll post all that info as soon as Magnet sets up the registration page/PayPal thing.

Do a demo - oh boy could I? My sewing table is 8' x 20' long so I doubt it'll fit in the car. I'd like to make it down for the Revival but I dunno if time will permit.

id be in depending on how that day goes, but my 31 will barely be goin by then, so its a lil risky to go that far in the first few days its running (got a car show locally to go to that friday)...

i dont wanna come without my car, but i might just get balsy

 

no criteria, like the Pileup. no old cars required (but it would be nice). Just hang out and enjoy some good food.
