I can't wait, it will be the first time for me. I have not been to a swap since I left Cali! If anyone has any '47-'48 chevy stuff let me know.
Is it Sat. and Sun? What are the times? I'd like to go but Sat. is already spoken for. Never been to one before.
What time does it start? I think I heard 8:00 but that seems late. (guys are lining up outside the Pomona swap at 4:00 AM) I can't wait to see my first PNW swap
I just got back a few hours ago. I can't believe I did not buy anything. I had a wad of cash and did not spend it. I just could not find what I wanted, but had a great time just the same. There is a big difference between the PNW swaps and the So Cal scene. I was shocked at how much OLD metal tere was out there. In So Cal, mid 50's is considered old. There were a tons of pre-1940 cars and trucks there at good prices. (lots of parts too) I had a great time and saw some cool stuff. Still need a bunch of 48 chevy parts though. I saw several HAMB shirts as well as stickers in the parking lot. (even one on a truck an hour away from the event) It is going on tomorrow too so get out there!
yeah saw a few faces and lots of stuff walked with Fred for a few hours good buddy I rarely see saw Doug's left over '32 Coupe sheet metal must have been an efficient build, I've had toenail clippings bigger than that bought some Ford spindles like you might grab a box of mints at the grocery store check-out stand, purely spontanious and another Lasalle box with spare parts from a great guy, turns out he's a Mischief Maker the club that puts on the best trad rod and custom show in the Northwest, good to meet you Tom, if you on here. all in all a pretty good meet
Had a booth between buildings in a ****ty spot. Stared at a stack of hay for the day. Sold very little Didnt see many people. Headcount was low, I think the rain forecast scared alot of people away. FEDER
All in all a great time. We were able to get the same booth we've had before with a great location. I came home with a bunch of new junk and was lucky to get rid of some old junk, had $200 more in my pocket at the end, doesn't get any better.
You probably have the same poorly done calender I had. I think mine didn't have Chehalis on it either. Bremerton is happening according to their website. http://ovac.us/bswapmeet.htm
Living in Washington and complaining about the weather don't go well together. It rains almost every time I go to Monroe. If not in the morning, it does when I'm there or on the way out. Oh well, I won't melt or the rusty parts I haul back to the car. Just sayin'.
Ill be there. Bunch of us 67-72chevytruck.com guys have four booths over by the main turn in off of HWY 2 right next to the brick wall. Ill be selling misc. junk (lol) and some ***orted pocket knifes I recently picked up from a wholesaler. My Unibody will be parked close by. Stop in and say howdy.
Haha way to resurrect a dead thread Dude ! I`ll be there draggin wagon.. & Btw ... Still rollin in the 59` ? SHOTGUN !!!!
While we are at it, is there anybody going to Munroe that has one of these in mint or near mint condition that they want to part with? Mine is pretty much wasted, as you can see.
Had a good time, left JUST before the monsoon started. Bought a 9" housing, an old electric fuel pump, and filled a few gaps in my magazine collection. Theres was some cool stuff there, latham set-up, Wieand 6-71 intake for a 394, Half decent '32 Tudor body, a '49 Olds coupe project car for sale, some other keen stuff.
