Anyone Going to Fredericksburg, Tx this weekend for LSSRA?

Yes,

I know it will have a lot of Gold Chainers and Grey Beards and if that’s not your scene that’s fine.

I don’t think they will have any burning midgets in shopping carts races, or filling a pickups bed with the most trash contest.

Although ether one might be fun to watch, as long as it not my pickup.

Just wondering who might be going?

i'm going. I like the run. It is in a nice tree filled park. Lot of good folk go to this show.It's a good one to take the wife to because it is usually cool and Fredrickburg is great for looking in the shops. If you see my blue hemi roadster please stop and let me know that you are on the HAMB. Later, Andy

My wife's driving our '32 Roadster (plastic body), 350, and I'm taking my Honest Charley Ford Flathead V8 powered motorcycle.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know it's a Street Rod Show, but I think alot of old farts around my age would be interested in seeing it.
At least they do everywhere else I take it. I just don't know if the 'stuffed shirts' at LSSRA will appreciate it or not, but I know the people who go to see the different cars there will.

Oh God, you mean the Lone Star Street Rod ***ociation has sent all those good old boys packing and is now filled with curly-haired yuppies and greybeard baldies wearing gold neck chains, Rolexes, and bright white pocket Ts with ironed crease stone-washed jeans and white socks and sandals, or Argyles and penny loafers??
When I was in it in the Fort Fisher Park days in Waco, the LSSR***ociation was a wonderful group of hotrodders who had a great time together admiring (and disparaging) each others cars...uh, oh yeah, all the girls wore tube tops or tank tops, short shorts with
"Street is Neat" embroidered on the ****, and comfortable shoes, sandals even.
Bummer.

I'll be there in my faded black and maroon scalloped (or whatever they are) 50 chevy p.u. It will be in the parking lot, however, not the show.
