Dave, thanks for the pics. I spent the better part of yesterday (being retired I can do that) looking at all the great pics you posted of the goings-on at Del Mar. I have certainly looked many times at your site and am very impressed with the quality and quan***y of shots you put on your site. Every time I go to California and to one of the shows or cruises, it seems when I get back home you have got the pics loaded and on for us to view! Dave, thanks again from a VERY appreciative fan.

I saw that '59 Buick for sale at the Big Three swap. They were asking $18,000 for it. Not bad I think, a beautiful machine for the price of a PT Cruiser.

I think it's a quad 4 also. The quad 4's were dual overhead cam 4's that came in Pontiacs, Buicks, and Oldsmobiles for quite a while. There was a series of articles in Street Rodder about a year and a half ago I think. Talked about how much they looked like the old Offenhauser racing engines once you moved the coil pack and removed the silly cover. I think the company that is making speed parts for these engines is out of Colorado somewhere if memory serves me right. I can dig out some of the mags if you would like me to and scan some pics for you if you want.

  21. That is an Olds Quad 4...
