Upgrade steering box of a '49 Ford F1

Hi
I would like to know what steering box would be suitable to upgrade a 49 Ford F1 ? Is there something which is similar fitment wise ?
I was thinking a box from a 56 or so F100?

beat me to it; i was going to say exactly the same thing.

 

Either ECI or No Limit Engineering [ I don't remember which], has a kit to put a GM power steering box on and keep the original axle.

I will look into it. Stock box is in the Netherlands and I am not sure how much shipping would be. But i will let you guys knowwhen it is available

Some people use a Toyota pickup steering box. Join over at http://www.ford-trucks.com/ I think there's a write up about it there. I think you can actually buy a mount kit. Good luck and put me in the line for your F1 box for my Model A
