I starting lacing up all the wiring in the engine bay of the Plymouth. I am about half done. I am thinking of doing under the dash after this. What do you think?

You must have spent time in a telephone central office. All our wire is laced up like that with waxed string. looks cool. I prefer friction tape.

I can still get the waxed nylon from a supplier no problem.

You can buy the original style woven lacquered fabric conduit in varying sizes, split it, cover your stuff then tie it up.

if you can't find a supplier, try searching for "lacing twine", which is what they call it.

I work in an electric motor factory and we lace up the end turns of the motor stators with tie cord like that. I'll have to snarf some.

This stuff is heat rated too.

  14. Be sure to check out the Aircraft Spruce source in a previous post. I think you'll find a lot of stuff you can use for rods. I used them a lot for my altered's hardware needs, and they sell all kinds of Chromoly tubing by the foot. Great Folks!

    That was my first thought.

  16. Aircraft style is usually tie wraps, but I like the look of lacing if it's heat proof. Rags

  17. Looks nice.
Reminds me of the wiring behind the control panel in older power stations.

I'm curious about your remote oil filter.
Is there an inner fender panel or shield that protects it from rocks and the like?

I'm a bit of a worrywart and can see a rock puncturing the thin wall of the filter can.
