I am going to LA for the Roadster Show. I have been to most of the auto museums. I want to go to the Kennedy Bros. shop. I know it's in Pomona but that's all I know. Can anyone help me? I have met them and they seem like real nice guys. I love their work.
They'll be at the So Cal Speed Shop on Grand Ave. all day Friday.....you could make contact there and arrangements to visit their shop..... Brucie
Anyone driving out from the EAST? Say...NSRA YORK or Goodguys Indy? My dad is driving from Vermont solo in his roadster.
Does So-Cal still do a party the time of the LA Roadster weekend ? I went last time I had the 32 out on the West Coast for the Father's Day event. It was on Wednesday back then.
It is at the Pamona Fairplex. Mapquest can give your the specifics. I was ther last year in vacation and it was great.
Get a hold of Jimmy White too (Circle City Hotrods) and and check out his place. hemicoupe on here. circlecityhotrods.com. KNUX!
I have been to Jimmy White's place. Pretty impressive. I have been to the roadster show for the last 10 years and I wouldn't miss it. The So Cal open house is worth the whole trip. I want to go to the Kennedy's on Thursday, so I'll just go to So Cal and maybe they will tell me. Thanks for all the replies.
pops and myself are driving our coupes out for the long weekend. more details as the time gets closer.
I'll be out there Friday, Sat, Sun, and Monday with my Father... Should be a hell of a time! I can't wait Hopefully i'll find some cool new toys for my little project i'm building. Hopefully get to check out a bunch of shops and places on Friday and Monday...
My wife gave me a leave p*** so I'm flying over from Oz for it with a couple of mates (X38 is one of em). We look forward to catching up with as many Hambers as we can. Three and a half weeks and counting.......
I'll be at SoCal on Friday, and at the show on Sunday with my brothers and dad. Then on the following thursday, gonna jump on a plane to Minn./St. Paul to hit up the "Back to the 50's" show out there. Never been before, supposed to be pretty cool. That's a lot of cars in a short amount of time. Only thing that ****s is that I won't have a car in Minn., but should still be fun...
This a kool deal! Open house get-togethers in/around Pomona. At the Fairplex: the finished roadster show, with lots of vendors. Then the best is the ever growing swap meet with stuff you will never see anywhere else for sale/display. Do not miss the special aprking area for rides that do not qualify for show-outstanding rides there. The NHRA Museum too!
Ill be down there on thursday night. leaving san antonio,tx around wed. night. Ill be taking my roadster. see you all there
I'm heading over in the morning, towing my "barn find" 29 Ford roadster to the swap meet. Should hit Ontario around 3 - 4 PM.
I'm heading out from Reserve, NM to Las Vegas then to Pomona with my friend Ray, who's looking for some new bumpers for his Morrison ch***ised, 502 Ramjet powered 55 Chevy Sedan Delivery.
yAy! I just updated my Digital camera with a brand new lense, some fun filters, a spare couple of batteries, and about 8 gigs worth of memory cards.... i'm gonna have a HELL of a gallery of this show when i get back Leaving Friday early morning with pops... Cant WAIT! 8)
Kennedy Bros Shop is on East End which is about 5 blocks east from So Cal Speed Shop.... But they don't keep any regular hours and there is no sign out front, they'll be at Fairplex setting up their m***ive swap space on Friday. You probably won't see the Kennedy Bros. at the So cal party because they don't have a working / good realtionship with SoCalSS anymore, and I can understand why after talking with them many times.
The Orange County chapter of Pickups Limited is sponsoring the F100 Western Nationals on Saturday the 23rd if you're still in town. It's always a good event and there will be a tour of the John Force facility on Friday as well... http://www.f100westernnationals.com/
