  2. Awesome job so far!
Reminds me of the AMT Kitset "Shifty Seven" available back in the late '60's early '70's.
It had many custom options with the kit, a****st others.
    Thats gonna look killer!
    Cheers,

It belongs to Greaseball, Roseville Rod N Custom is building it for him. That shop does great work and Ben is a really nice guy. I remember talking to him a few times when I lived in Sac.

I just bought a 58 long roof from a board member today. I have a couple of other projects I wanted to finish first, but now this one may get bumped up a notch.

Any of you experts on these two years tell me what all is interchangable? I like the front clip of the 57 a little better. Then again those mopar lights look pretty darn good. Time to bust out photoshop and lay down some ideas.

Most of the 57 is interchangable with the 58. There are a few years specific items, taillights, hood, turn signals, back up lights (if you have them), grill, check design on the dash pieces, etc.

  13. Nice work. Here's my '57 in 1960 when it was purple after it's first change.Has the Edsel taillight treatment.Keep us posted on the progress.

Same car is shown in Post 39.

Also, I believe that car is shown in "The American Custom Car" in 1983 wearing a flawless candy red paint job. Maybe my favorite '57-59 Ford of all time. I don't know why the '58s are avoided, they are the best of the bunch. They should have run across town and stolen headlights from the Chrysler/DeSoto plant to put in their cars though...

...Well, it's a pretty cool thing to see this thread at the top after just arriving home from making a down payment on a cool 57 Ranchero..Sorry I may not have any pics. for a while yet because of being so dark in the storage building. ..I'm real excited about this new ride...
