    Bummer....
    One question...
How many years of Parvo shots did the dog have?

Sorry for your loss, it is very difficult when our furry friends pass on especially so young.
I lost my Bearded Collie in '98 and still think of her often.
I will be thinking of you and hope that it does get easier for you as the days go on.

We just celebrated the one year loss of our mixed breed, which is ironically(and on purpose) the 1st birthday of our chihuahua.

    our condolences.

I'm sorry for you man, I know how it feels...I still wear my dog's choker collar every now and then, I made it into a necklace with an S-hook between the rings...had him for 10 years, since I was 3 years old...I hope you feel better soon...missing them is always the worst part...

we found a single cell sarcoma tumor around his juguler at age 2 and ahalf and 5 other lesions removals nose ,feet shoulder and lymphnode removal in feb of this year..
they gave him at most 6months after the first sign of cancer only with chemo / radiation

Sorry about your loss. I know where you are coming from. Losing a loved dog who has become part of the family is a very hard thing to deal with.

Just had my "sweat heart" (beagle) to the vet for another issue when he tells me "we have to talk" - She had some sort of "boney like growth in her jaw" he goes on to tell me it's either "Good or bad and if it's bad it's REALLY bad"

For 110 bucks they can biopsy it and let me know - if it's bad there's nothing I can do other than have 1/2 her jaw cut off in hopes that will "get all of it". She's 13 but runs around the damn place like she's a puppy. I wrestled with the idea, but I just can't see myself putting her through that suffering so I can have afew more months. Bottom line I guess I am jumping the gun as we haven't found anything out yet. he told me that if I don't do anything - he'll know in a month either way. I feel your pain - I've had to put one down before - hardest thing I ever had done. Don't look forward to ever having to do that again. Still that all said - these little guys are worth the pain they eventually cause.

that really freaking sucks. there is only one good thing about it, he is not suffering. my parents brought home german shepard for me one weeknd i went away when i was about 15. they adopted her. she was the coolest and smartest dog i have ever seen, she became my best friend, i used to love to bring her to the beach. she started getting a lot of lumps under her skin, and she had 2 really big ones on her legs, we had aher about 8 years, and had to put her down, it broke my damn heart. she was not my first dog, or cat, but i swore i never wanted another dog after that and by that time i learned to hate cats. a few months later my mom brought home a little maltese, i didnt even want anything to do with her for a few months. fast foward about 3 or 4 years after 3 months of living in my own place and turning down many free dogs,i decided to take a look at a 2 yr old dalmation that was on his way to the pound, we brought him home, rougly 1 1/2 year later i picked up another 2 yr old dal from the pound that was supposed to be nearing the end of his stay. the only thing i can say, is there is no feeling like knowing you are giving a pet another chance at life, and a much better one at that. these guys drive me nuts sometimes but i am so happy to have them with us. i dont think i will ever buy a dog, there are some wonderful pets out there that just need a little tlc. check out your local pound and petfinder
