gm 3972178 330 hp LT-1 camshaft

Anyone running this 242-254 dur. cam in an 8.5 cr 350 sbc??? Have an 81 'Vette, 4 speed, 3.73 gears, Edel. intake and carb, and headers. The comp HE 268 218-218 cam just does not cut it and want to go to a solid lifter cam. They did put this cam in a 9.0 cr 350 in 72 so am wondering if I can use. The good old 097 Duntov would be okay but some say it would be too mild and to try the 178 cam. Also looking at the comp 282s cam 236-236. Thanks. Greg
