I'm sitting at home now looking at the show photos on the HAMB and watching "Survivorman" on TV...feeling like I should be on that show! Thing went REALLY smoothly at the show...all completly thanks to my crew of friends that help me run things. Skatefink & Erin, Lulabelle & Whitney, Johnny longhair & Kathy, Scott & April, Clark & Jr (and their wives for letting them come out and play whenever we want to), Sumo, Mikey, Big John, Duck!!, Matt, Travis, Andy, Keith, and Andrew paintface. Anyone that gets involved in doing a show will tell you that these are the people that make it work for them. You guys are all the best.
The Friday night deal worked out real well with the band and Nappys burretos and dogs. We'll try to expand that next year. There were TONS of campers, but I still missed the HAMB regulars...you know who you are! Glad Bob K and Maggie could make the trip from WI. The weather was freakin' PERFECT for the show, considering the weatherman was promising some rain. When I had a second...which was not many, I did notice a bunch of people watching Olgoaly (Terry) and the metalshaping guys. I hope it worked for them...love to have them back. We have a ton of HAMBers that come in from out of town and I thank everyone for picking our show to come to out of the tons of shows springing up all the time AND mostly for the support of the museum. I hope everyone took time to ride the bus up and look around. We are proud of what we have here and everyone involved is always impressed with the respect most of our show visitors have for our grounds. We can always tell because eveyone leaves the place very clean at the end of the day. I think people realize what a special deal we have here. I only had to calm a few people down in the camping area Friday evening around 2 AM, chase a few people with dogs out of the show Saturday (the rules seem so simple to me) and that was it. I'm going to take a nap...see you at the Showdown Drags the end of Sept!! Thanks again to all.

Larry, Thanks for the great show, Roy, Mike, and I made it home this after noon. About 10 hours with about half of it in rain. Long drive, but I am glad I went. We were fortunate that we made the trip without the first bit of trouble from either car.

You have a great thing there with the facility, track, museum, and the friendly guys putting it together with you.

Thanks, again and I hope to see you again!

I know how hard you work to make this show a big success..
Its rare that you can attend an event like this and feel that you know everyone.. its awesome!
that said.. I still cant believe that I missed so many people..
one of the disadvantages of being a slave to my swap meet spot.

    my biggest regret..

somehow.. I missed thunderbirdesq. I saw your truck before track time in the infield, and then in the campground afterward..

    but never found you.

I too, would like to thank you and your staff for a great show. Got another member of my club to come and he had a great time, maybe one day more will come and realize that sometimes I know what I'm talking about. I know how much work goes into putting on a show like this. Thanks again, this was my third time an plan to be back as much as I can.

I know Jeff, I feel the same. Saturday just flew by like a whirlwind for me, plus my stepdaughter came down with a fever and was pretty miserable by that afternoon. I had to hit the road and get her home. I made a last ditch effort before we pulled out and asked Clark if he could help me track you down, but now I see that was at the same time you were snapping pics of my truck in the campground! I feel like a total tool, especially because I wouldn't have even been there with it if it weren't for your help. Seriously, thanks again. Anyhow, enough man-sappyness, I may be in the Philly area in mid-june, I'll let you know. Any decent summer events down your way?

And once again, thanks Larry and crew!

Thanks Larry for a great show. Stayed all weekend and loved every minute. I got my car out of a 20 year sleep just to bring it to the showdown. If she keeps running, I keep bringing er back!

Hay Larry you always put on a killer show! Sorry I didn't get to stop and chat. I was heading for the head and when I had a chance to try and hunt you down I would see ya across the track but never close enough to say hi. Clark was the same way. I bet I saw him a dozen times but never close enough for contact. I was interesting to see him hose himself down after that first run in 999! LOL! that must have been COOOOOLLLLDD! With all that water he had over the weekend I bet he still has swamp ***! :p

Great show, can't wait for the drags and next year!

    I had a great time.

For a show with so many angles -- camping, bands, food, vendors, track laps, and on and on -- it runs AMAZINGLY WELL.

I'm sure it's tons of work, but we all really appreciate it. It's the best show out there.

    thanks larry!
i cant wait till next year....might have to build a new car for it again...the thrash on Jer's car #207 wore us all out....but it really felt worth it seeing him make his first run with the car on the race track!
and having Roger #203 with us....he's 74 years old and said "thats the most fun I've ever had!!!!"
    can't beat that!

    thanks!

  21. I can't tell you how much myself and the bunch I hang with appreciate what you and your crew do! We've been to all but the first show, and man I'm kick'n myself for missin' that one. It definitely is on our "must go to" list.
While walking across the track, towards the end of the day , I overheard one of your guys thanking each and every car leaving. No!..... I think it should be us thanking each and everyone of you!

I agree with the crowd- thanks a million Larry & Kim for bringing a damned cool show to PA!

'Feel like I missed most of the car fun this year while shilling burritos, but got to briefly chat with some great people. The only bad thing about the show is that it's already over with.

Can't wait for the Drags. I'm welding up some Wheelie Bars for the Buick next week (yeah, right).

If they are welded like your chip rack I'm very scared!!

  28. This was the greatest show EVER! My son and I had such a great time. Next time we go looking for salamanders in the stream, we will start up-stream and not in the crossing.

Thanks to all you guys who put it on, I'll be there with my A next year.

Hey! I showed up in a picture!!!! :D
    [IMG]

That's me back there rakin' in the bucks! I hope that all of you realize that in addition to having a blast, your admission fee goes to support the Museum and the Seven Valleys Fire Company. Larry & Kim have done so much for so many. It is an honor in some small way to be a part of it....
