Hey Nick, do the shops over there sell pre-cut lengths of copper brakes lines like they do with steel? You seem to insinuate that it's a well known thing to do and that everybody's doing it. Is the copper tubing going to have a thick enough wall to hold under the extreme pressure and will it be affected by extreme temperature fluctuations? Seems like copper tubing would be about three times as expensive as steel with the high price of copper right know. Copper looks good when used in the proper places but I would have to question the integrity of a 60" run of tubing that's got three or four bends in it. Another thing I would think about is electrolysis with all the different metals involved.

Car looks great! I have a concern... is your foot going to reach the gas pedal? it looks like your heel on the floor and toes on the gas are going to be a problem. your ankle is going to hurt like hell driving that thing. I would shorten the gas pedal if I were you. Of course I was wrong one other time but thats irrelevant:rolleyes:

  5. Good job, nice car, & my style of pedals;)

Actually he's/they're right. (as long as it's the actual 90/10 brake line) That isn't straight copper. It's 90/10 copper nickel alloy specifically engineered brake line. They also call in Cunifer. It's 3 times stronger & far more corrosion resistant that our steel. It's what we should all be using, I am.

listen to this guy, he has it right. over here in the uk, brake lines aint straight copper theyre the kunifer stuff. has a slightly more silvery appearance than copper, and doesnt corrode the same. ive made and fitted 100s of brakelines for cars over the past few years, and the only ones ive ever had a problem with was a pre-made steel set a customer supplied.
i use kunifer on all my cars and fit it to all customer cars, even though its a fair bit more expensive than steel lines. its biggest benefit over steel is its much easier to work(bending and flaring), so better for making custom fit lines.

Same here in Sweden. The brake lines are copper alloy.

MCQUEEN you are right. It is the 90/10 brake lines.
    Dezaster your right to.
Thanks everyone for the input on the brake lines.
Kwiksilver, Yes the gas pedal still needs some fine tuning to be cool, but i thought on adjusting it (making it shorter) when i get the right seats for it. (More to come on the pedals during tech week.)
I fired it up last night for the first time, 11,30pm with the garage doors wide open without any exaust on. Sounded a bit loud:eek: . So did the neighbours:D .
I will try and post some more pics soon.
