Had mine courtesy of Modernbeat's pdf (thanks!) for the last three years on my car. Works OK for me. Print it out. Write your name on it and stick it to ya glass. DONE!!
I think that the sticker idea is right on and I will get a fistful if its approved. Just be careful how far you go with the idea before its approved!!!

I will gladly send $$$ for a handfull of those(6-8). I tend to go threw cars often. money, money for stickers, stickers.....
This print at home stuff... how long do you suppose it'll last in the elements? I've used stickers that have lasted 2 or 3 years on a daily driver, and some that have faded if you look at them wrong. I plunked down $20 for the pinstripe wall raffle, and I'll gladly pay $5-$10 for a HAMB sticker that will last!
I guess that while we're sharing our home-spun computer generated HAMB stuff, I'll show you what I printed up a few months ago. Since the San Diego HAMBers have been trying to get together more often I decided I needed a way to share my local contact info with others easier...here's what I put together... I just looked at it on the HAMB post and it's hard to guage the size but it's a regular business card...
Hankcash, Your a straight-up guy. How about ya sell 'em for a buck a piece plus that self addressed envelope. You could split the proceeds with Ryan for the site costs. I think this is the way to go. I know I'll take 10. Plus if you spray 1Shot or FrogJuice UV coating out of a ratttlecan, it should give ya at least 5 years constant outdoor life. Think about it. Joel

[/ QUOTE ] I couldn't agree more! I'm sure everyone can spare a buck. Beside's, it's the affiliation with the board we want to represent, so the more money Ryan get's, the longer we get to enjoy it here. I'm in no matter what. Rat.
I'm not trying to be a prick, but those stickers aren't going to last near as long as these decals. They will either start to deteriorate or fade something terrible. The ones I have made are rated to last up to 5 years in constant weather with NO uv coating. If you uv coated them they'd last even longer. They are professional grade stuff like the graphics you'd find on a fire engine or a semi-truck. Made by 3M. They are NOT made with ink. It is vinyl with a thermally printed (basically melted) layer of vinyl color on top (red). The reason for the cost was so that I could re-coup and still be able to have a decent donation to the board. I swear I am trying to do the right thing here - not trying to gouge.....If you don't like the price tell me what you would pay and that will be the price, but I have to say .50 cents is practically free and won't amount to shit for a donation. For example: I figured if I sold 100 "sets" that would bring in $500.oo I take my cut - and the rest goes to Ryan. If your stickers go for $.50-.75 x 100 "sets" you only bring $150.oo-225.00 and have to split that with the board. not very impressive. Even at a dollar each youonly bring $300.oo. PLUS you still have to get them made and you wee going to make 400 of them when I already have almost 300 made. My expectation is that you will say - ok then we could make them at a cost of $.50 per but we could charge the same rate as I have suggested....well ok but you aren't getting the same type of product. It's like the difference between a pen cam and a 8 megapixel digi camera. Would you pay the same price for those?
o.k. so i'm the gringo , but I agree that Ryan's voice is needed here now . It would be way ol kool to have one on my fifty but not without his blessings. Hey , maybe Ryan already has this in the winds. Who knows . . . . . . . .
I should have some people out there who "have my back" on this.... I gave some of these decals to the folks I met at the Hunnert Car Pile-Up last year (I made them a LOOONG time ago - been waiting for t-shirt deal). Manyoldcars Max Wedge Tuck (traded him for a Bleed decal) Paso John I think some made their way to Denise as well as a few other folks whose names escape me. I wanted people to remember me as a nice guy damn it!!! They can tell you that these are quality pieces.....
Broman, your right, your stuff is higher quality and longer lasting. I understand the process you described. I'll buy your stuff too, right now! Come up with your price for what ya got. Let's get the ball rolling. PM Ryan, let's go. I think there's room for a couple of outlets here. I also have a idea for a HAMB decal that will that will represent a "Regional" feel for us Midwesterners. I hope to have a few digital print test shots up soon. Joel PPofC
those thick glossy stickers some of the sticker vendors sell suck ass- they fade in like 6 months lets stay away from those
Ok, Broman... I see what you are saying. I just got carried away with printing them up at home and was offering them FREE to anyone who wants one. I wasn't looking to get any money out of the deal for me or the board... it was just for my pals on the HAMB. You are probably right about them not lasting, but I figured that no one could complain if they got it free... You already have those made up and they are high quality. Once we get the word from Ryan, sell thru those and once they are gone I will help you place another order. I have a couple of friends that own National sticker printhouses and the company that I have worked at for the past 13 years has done millions of dollars worth of business with them... they tend to hook me up from time to time.... HC
Hey BROMAN, Relax a little man!!! Nobody said your stickers suck or anything!!!! Just tryin to get all the details hashed out, that's all! Come up with a DEFINITE price, and I'm SURE they'll sell out in NO time! Shit, I'm in right now! What'll ya give me for $20???
I got some small stickers from Broman at last years Pileup and they are very good ones! Now if my 34 Ford truck just had some glass to put them on I'd be happy. Max
OHHH YEA, Max Gearhead, not Max Wedge, we stood and talked for a long spell at the Pile-Up. Hell of a guy. We agreed with each other on almost everything. Man I am not uptight about this I am just trying to let you know that I know what I am doing here and that we could all get something from this - I'm not a newbie.... Message boards are shit at translating moods. I am HAPPY, I swear !! I just wanted to be an active member and I don't want to screw anyone. Reputations go REAL far on the net (just ask the guys about Supremes), and I just want to be fair and give a good deal.
I'll take some of anything for the HAMB!! OK, well almost anything...wouldn't want Germ to get the wrong idea & think I was from Michigan or something...
[ QUOTE ] I think some made their way to Denise as well [/ QUOTE ] Nope, never happened, and I'm getting some flack from someone( ) who thinks I should have SHARED these decals with him. For the record, I DID NOT receive any HAMB decals/stickers at the Hunnert Car PileUp. If I did, it would be on Big Olds right now....right?
For the love of God, decide on who is doing the stickers and get them made up already!!! I have already windexed the glass in my car and am waiting to put my shiny new HAMB sticker on it!!!
