It's home, now what the hell do I do with it?

Picked up this poor Model A coupe because it called out to me. Heard the saying, "Diamond in the rough?" Well, let's just say this is "rust in the rough!" I seam to have a knack for wanting the worst **** I can find, but I can't complain about the price. I also hate to see a coupe go to waste.

    My questions are as follows:

    1) Should I even waste my time? I mean it is bad!
    2) If I were to keep it would I be better off cutting off the qurters to make a sedan modified or extended cab pickup? My only problem with that is there is just enough of the quarters left to make them look like they can be repaired.
    3) Would blowing the body apart for short term storage make it nearly impossible to re***emble later (ie, no subrails or floor to speak of)?

Thoughts and suggestions will be appreciated. I think I may have a case of beer goggles (or is that bondo goggles?) for this coupe.

    Thanks!

I like the extended cab pickup idea!! Do it! Certainly can't HURT it!!:D

Maybe even an Altered street car with the rear tires starting just in back of the doors and just chop the quartes off!

I wouldn't count on seeing progress pictures on Tuesday! I have my son's 1st birthday in June and my other son's fifth birthday in August and I also have a Chrysler roadster I'm fooling myself into thinking I can build! Silly wife thinks she needs the yard clean for the birthday parties. I say "they're boys, this ****'s in their blood!" Might as well let them crawl around them and soak up the testosterone!

I'd put a pickup box in the trunk area and have a real different type of hot-rod. Then you can haul the store in it and not give a ****??.

That is much cleaner than most project bodies I've seen for sale in and around PA.

The rear quarters are a problem, but the rest of it looks good.

Rock beats scissors. Coupe beats extended pickup.

Yep, it was Bruce's. He and my brother both doubt that will ever be a car again. Sure would be nice to prove them wrong!

Depends on what you consider an "***load"? I never really kept track of the money or time I spent on it.

    Thanks.

I really like the idea of an extended cab pickup... So I had a go at photoshopping one...

Not the best of jobs - but seeing it... I really like it...

Does anyone know if this has been done before?

It's buildable with about 5years and $10K and you'll be rollin'. I think for now that I would put it on a pallet with wheels. You need to support it and be able to move it around so you can sweep that garage floor.:D
