    Aren't those NICE !!!
I degreased the engine, now I'm ready to reseal it, and throw it back together.
The guy who gave me this truck told me it didn't run much after the new engine. You can still see the tops of the pistons and the hone marks.

I'm not trying to go show, just cleaning up some un-used holes. I also need a new grommet for the clutch rod....when I got the truck, it had major exhaust leaks, so it was extremely noise in the truck....Now it will all be nice. My kids love the truck, so I don't need any 'fumes' in the cab !!
    Few pics....

Anyway...here are two more pics...What I did, to change it up a little, was add a second coat of textured paint to the engine compartment. I wanted to somewhat hide the imperfections of the engine bay sheetmetal.
I masked everything off from the top edge down...but now realized I need to go all the way the fenders edge..I think that will look better...What do you guys think ??

OSH...."aged iron" Rustoleum brand textured paint...The name of the color fitted perfect !!!
They had differnet color....one of them had a 'green' in it...kinda cool, but i wanted something with a red in it...they probably make it, but OSH didn't have it.
Anyway...this morning before my routine, I went ahead and did it all....

While you're at it, change that single hole Master Cylinder for a dual reservoir just for safety's sake.
You're doing it right so far.

Weird, your posts on the HAMB have a timeline that isn't even close to the timeline on this thread you did on a truck forum.

    http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=226210

Like about 3 months off... Why lie about when you have done something? i.e. "pulled the engine this morning" posted here on 5-19-07 but on the other forum, you pulled that same engine on 2-8-07. Same pics too. And you "took it to San Jose Steam Cleaners yesterday" which would be the 24th, but on the other forum you did that on 4-4-07. Did the engine have to come back out and did the truck need to be cleaned again from the first time it was done on the other forum? Or do you just like to look like a speedy worker? Maybe you just enjoy watchin yourself type like others like to hear themselves talk? Dunno there Chief... seems a bit odd to me though.

    Good luck with the project!!

Relax, man. He probably didn't want to re-write the whole thing, so he copied and pasted most of it on here. And even if he did purposely lie about the dates...who cares? I mean, really...

And, I hope you didn't go to all the trouble to google his name and find a bunch of other forums he posted on, solely to find and point out inconcistencies in his threads. :D

Either way, CheifRocka, nice work! :)

Why are you so worried about it man ?? Actually, the truck is done, and running !!! I drive it everyday ?? I just copied and pasted the pictures (sorry, and some text) from the other forum onto here....Sorry to get you all upset bro....Not trying to protray my-self as a "speedy" worker or "lie" ...however I do get it done.

Someone from the HAMB came over to the truck forum and mentioned the guys here would probably dig what I am doing to the truck...so here I am !!! Just don't have time to post all at once, besides it easy to copy and paste, then to upload again....

I mean is that cool ?? Mr Moderater ???

These 202's have no accessory holes, so I used the front mount and z-bend a piece of 1/4" X 1". It doesn't even budge...Today I will hopefully finish the upper adjusting bar.

OK, I took the advice of Slepy and many of you others, and decided to split my brake-lines now before drop'n in the engine...(way easier to bend the lines).....
As mentioned in my other thread, I had a disc/drum master from a 76 Cutluss that was new..sitting in the cellar for years. (middle pic).....I decided I will save that one for when I do the disc thang !!!
The one on the left is the stock (obviously)
Now the one the right is a NEW drum/drum master I picked up at Kragens for under $30...I asked for a 67-70 IMPALA drum/drum car...non P/B....Can't beat the price !!!

Vette is awaiting an TurnKey build LS7 and 6-speed, going into a powder-coated chassis !!

I thought this was weird how GM mounted the 3-speed in this truck...it's hung by the belhousing, and nothing in the tailend....it actualy supports the load better, as the tranny is so light.
This will have to be changed eventually...due to the fact that this bell-housing x-member hangs below the frame.....definately don't want that.....this will prevent me form laying frame in the future...
In the future, a new e-brake/tranny x-member will be made up.

What are those plug wires? I picked up a set when I threw a HEI in my '71 Chev. Ambulance (Suburban) and we found the longest set in CarQuest and they are still just barely long enough. Those red wires look like they're nice and looong.
