goin to KC for a few days to visit some folks that do not have the car addiction that i have... so i'm asking you guys, are there any car-related attractions (museums, cruise nights, shops, etc.) that I can go see if i get a spare minute? Thanks!
No so much car related, but take the Boulevard Beer...beer tour. It is KC's finest brewery on Southwest BLVD in KCMO. Their beer is outstanding...but do not take my word for it!
there is a little car museum in lenexa, another in bonner springs. both kansas suburbs, if you have the chance to go a little further, go to gas from the past in pleasant hill
Hard to find car stuff going on those dates. The place in Lenexa is mostly muscle cars for sale but for a buck you can walk around and look at cars for awhile http://www.kccl***icauto.com/ If you're looking for old Ford parts you may want to head over to Baxter's in Lawrence. They have cool stuff! Want to watch a bunch of old cars get crushed? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=182335&highlight=kansas Not car related, but the World War I museum and steamship Arabia museum aren't bad. http://www.libertymemorialmuseum.org/index.aspx and http://www.1856.com <O</O <O</O
Hell I should read my own links! The World War I museum is having a car show while you're here! Vintage Vehicle Display - Sunday, May 27 and Monday, May 28 The Military Vehicle Preservation ***ociation will display a number of vintage military vehicles on the Liberty Memorial lawn. The displays will include vehicles from WWII, Korea and Vietnam including Jeeps and tanks.
man you guys are great! i hesitated to ask... because i though "what are the chances?" i'll be real close to some of it! now, if i can just find some vintage tin to drag home! ;-) thanks all!
There must be a car show in the Springfeild/Branson area this weekend. I have seen some very nice cars on the road the last few days
Nothing real big but the Punk Rods have a little get together every last sunday... It is a fun time close to mid town and some real cool rides and bikes show up!!! -COS
The Steamboat Arabia museum downtown is awesome just like my pal 97flatrat mentioned. Local guys dug up a sunken riverboat loaded with new goods that sunk in the Missouri River in the 1800's. Everything is preserved almost like new.
