TECH: Some TRUE OLD SCHOOL TECH circa 1945!!!!

    i dont think it was the light in the garage that was the trick...it was the on and off string being routed over so the driver could turn the light on and off without getting out of the car.

    Does anyone have the book "How To Take Care Of Your Car" published in 1950 by popular science?
    Its a great book and I would post some stuff from it but I dont have a scanner. Tons of hints from the model garage.

    Great stuff! Learned the tennis ball trick from my Dad the first time we lived in a house with a garage. Later I found a couple of my uncles did the same thing. Guess everybody back then knew about this.
