nothing for nothing but willys works sells rollers with no paint , gutt motor or trans for 17,000 you do the math on the rest. to me its still cheaper to buy a done car off ebay for 35,000 even knowing i can do 90% of the work my self

I'm I the only one catching the fact this guy is a Paint Restorer? Which means he a step up when buying a car that just need paint to finish. Im no expert either but I do an occasional paint job here and there and they are mostly labor intensive which makes the price of a good paint job so high, once again if this is what he does for a living, I think hes got the right idea buying a car he can finish out himself.....the $55K "project" price does seem a little high to me also

Maybe I'm stupid but what the hell is a "paint restorer"?? Taken literally, that means that you restore old paint? Maybe I'm still drunk from last night.

Groucho and Richard D, you two are funny *******s, don't ever ****ing change....hahahaha

Bishop, if you're not in a hurry, I'd suggest building your own gl*** Willy's rather than paying 55k for that car, but it's your call. Does the guy have the receipts? He might have a lot more money into it than we think, it's hard to tell without seeing it in person. Nice looking car though....

THANKS for the tip Bishop! Cleaning Love-Bugs off is the nastiest thing I've ever had to try and clean.
So, after you get them off, I still see a residue on the paint, even after washing with soap and water.
Is there a car soap that is better than others?

Dont forget to grab one of these hats to wear while you cruise your new Willeeezzzzz. Are you planning on painting it flat black and throwing on some red wheels? That will really impress the exotic car crowd. Hot Rods are not a trendy fashion accessory (despite what most of Floriduh thinks).

  11. It sounds like a different name for a car detailer

  12. I would have guessed it involves buffing out old original paint on valuable cars until they look like new. Might be a handy skill to learn...

Everyone is en***led to their own opinion. Mine is that I can't for the life of me understand why someone will pay so much for a "kit car". Granted 41 Willys are likely as nice of a kitcar as you can buy but it's still just a kit car.

I see them sell well north of 55K on eBay and I just don't understand it. I understand that there are only so many real ones. I understand the desire to own one. I can't understand 50-100K on a kit car.

So my opinion is "no" it's not worth 55K.

nope, I know some bring that kind of cash, but I couldnt pay 55k for a gl*** car either, I'd have to be looking at a real steel willys for that, I'd rather skip the over the top mega engine for now and start with a real car.

they dont belong on here, but have nothing against exotics, I helped a bud with his Ferarri today, only a 308 GTSI though.

Here's my opinion..and we all know, opinions are like ***holes.....if you have the money, and you really want the car, buy it! If you don't like some peoples opinions of buying a gl*** car that cost you 55k, don't take em for a ride in it!

I've always been the type of person that bought what I wanted to buy, no matter what anyone thought of it. Everyone on earth is going to have different opinions of that car. Some will love it, some will hate it, some will be middle of the road. Its only up to you. If you really dig the car, which I'm guessing you do, then buy it and have fun with it! If down the road you decide to sell it and you can't get your money out of it, welcome to America...not everything you buy makes money....and not everything you buy has to be an investment. Sometimes you just have to spend some money to have some fun! If you love the car, and you don't mind the fact that you might possibly not make your investment back, go get it!

Besides, smoking those Ferrari guys is a hobby all in itself! There are a bunch of those guys around me, and they get REAL pissy when they get beat! Ya never know, you might beat a few of them, and they might hate you so much for it that they might want to buy your car for 100k!
