Winston Churchill said this many years ago when things were at their worst...! Well after a couple of years of Total ****... I finally got the roadster running and ready for the road...! There were a few changes since these photos such as the engine and the windshield. I should have current photo's as well as videos of the "CRUSHER" coming to life...! Many thanks to friends and family that helped along the way... as I still have a long way to go...! I took out the perfectly "SWEET" 455 Olds for a Bad *** bored out 455 Olds now 468 Cubes-O-Torque and horsepower!!! I'm getting it ready to p*** Tech for Mokan... and by the Grace of God... I'll "Spank" a few Hemi's and run some respectable e.t.'s...! This is a "Budget Build' and all the receipts prove that you can put together one hell of a hot rod for pennies on the dollar if you just "Don't Give Up...!"
That is a good looking ride. I dig the pipes. What did you do to the Olds Super Rocket besides taking it over? I am planning to rebuild a 455 soon for the wife's 57' Chev wagon.
Congrats Mark - can't wait to see it at the HAMB Drags! I like seeing a big block in a roadster....excess is a good thing as far as i'm concerned. It's looking sweet bud!
I've working on a rebuild of my car (after a wreck) for a long time. There are days I wonder if it will ever be done. Some how, I keep plugging away, but it get harder and harder to motivate myself. J.
You did a nice job with that car, I like the choice of motorvation too, it'll be a tire melter for sure.
Cool!, I bet that first drive made it all worthwhile, I know it took tons of perseverance to get to that point. I'm finally getting close now, for the second time, on my roadster, can't wait to drive it, maybe next weekend.
Good to hear you are running Mark....I hope to be able to run you in the '32/430" Buick coupe at Mokan.......Kenny
slow and steady wins the race, you will always get there in the end, as long as you dont lose sight of the vision. but that is the hard part. congrats.
You're on Kenny...! How strict are the "inspections"???? Roll Cages for sub 11's??? Seriously... if I'm not running 11's... I'll eat my shorts...!
Glad to see you are running, and working the bugs out. Most of all thanks for the "pep talk"that is your subject line!!!Sometimes the projects get frustrating, and we need to be told"never...never...give up!!!
