Well I guess it could have been worse. It's been raining alot in north Texas, so when I saw an opportunitie to drive the coupe I jumped on it. Started down the road cars running good NO rain then a wreck up ahead, drove by then the back wheel starts to get loose. I have got a flat well it can happen to any one. But when I went to get the tire fixed some DIP SHIT threw a beer bottle at my car. I just don't understand why some JACK ASS thought it would be cool to hit any car parked. But as I said in the beginning he could have hit the radiator the front wind shield (the only glass I have) so it could have been worse. This is the reason I don't carry a gun, because there would be less of these ASS HOLE. Robert

That sounds like the kind of shit people do to my cars.I had the back window busted out of my 54 with a tire iron right after i chopped it a few years back by someone with nothing better to do i guess.
Some people must not have anything better to do than vandalize shit. I had the rear quarter (about a 4' long) window shot out of my ambulance in February. It had a perfect bb hole in it and it of course shattered but miraculously stayed in the 'burb. I was lucky enough to find a replacement in a local junkyard but all told it still cost me $90 to get it replaced because some kids were bored. I just don't understand what's wrong with some people.

My buddy Randy who has the Bob McCoy 40 clone is sitting here in disgust with me .He says that there were probably figerprints on the beer bottle.It would be considered battery .He could have killed someone with the beer bottle.
It was on 75 in Plano about at 4:00 PM. It justs screwed up my bucket and broke the bulb. I just wish I could get that prick a royal beating. I guess Im not the only person that got to put up with A holes like that. Not my rod but my Ford F150 Harley got keyed three time within a year. The police know who it is but they said they got to catch him doing it. It my lowlife neighbor that drop out of school at 18 because he could not pass 8th grade. Now he got some tats and thinks he a tough guy. He goes about 120 lb. I would love to beat him, but I would be the one in trouble. I hope you can get it fixed.
Keep in mind. Whatever comes around, goes around. A little 16 year old s*** ball took out the side rear window of my wife's 2007 SUV ($900). It would've cost me that plus a lawyer fee to take him to court to see him go to a youth facility for two years. Instead the Powers That Be were on my side. Four days later there was an explosion in his drug shed. They found a six foot hole in the roof and he was spattered all over the walls.
Sheesh!!! Your car was disabled on the side of the road and someone pitched a beer bottle at it? WTF?!?!?!! People have no respect now-a-days for other people's stuff...I'd suspect some young punks driving by in a rice-burner; who had nothing better to do...thought it would be "cool" to tag your car with a beer bottle. Shame on them. And their parents. Someone stole four 'stored' aluminum rims last week from my backyard that were next to my garage. (I say 'stored' because they weren't perfect, but they were not unuseable, either.) In broad daylight. Had to open my gate to get them...and they were polite enough to close the gate after they left. And supposedly I live in a "good" area. Times must be tough. Sucks man. I hate when people mess with my stuff.
Yeah man, that sucks! Couple of years ago on a car meeting somebody threw a beer bottle at night. It hit the fresh painted 61 Caddy beside me an then crushed the little door window of my 59 ElCamino.
Did the bottle break? If not and there's a deposit on the bottle, at least you can get the nickel or dime out of it...... (Just trying to lighten the situation up a bit.) Yeah, it sucks, but it is what it is. Get 'er fixed and move on. With any luck you'll be in a bar sometime and hear somebody bragging about tossing bottles at hot rods.

To clarify the Texas Open Container Law went in effect Sept 1 of 1997 IIRC. So it has been almost 10 years since it was legal to drive with an open container in Texas. Current fine is up to $500 per person in the vehicle. Still convience stores sell them in singles with a paper sack. And true to my Texas style my DD is a lifted chevy pickup, and I can't tell you how many vehicles I've looked down into in traffic to see the driver or passenger with a "Roadie" between there legs. Robert- That sucks sorry you had a run in with the degenerates of society. The funny thing is "those" people look at us like we are the degenerates, and the thing is at least we know something about something.......and who do they come to to fix their cars? Or coworkers who think you are crazy as all hell for the cars you run around in, but as soon as they have a tick or a knock, they are loke "Hey, you're into cars, can you take a look at mine....."
same thing happened to me in my farm truck a few years back. busted my side mirror with a soda can and blew soda all over my dash cause my wing window was open. i was so pissed cause i was just out of gas. sorry to hear about your bad luck but like they say what comes around goes around. thats why i do carry a gun.
