Hey everyone. Just wondering if the same problems would exist with running tri-4 bars on the front of a drop tube axle as they do with hairpins. Thanks.

What problems? Articulation is improved, varying with the type of joints you use, but the limited suspension travel on the front end makes this a minimal concern. It rally takes crossing one up on a steep driveway into a parking lot to see any binding. What else would concern you?

    Thanks for the reply.

I had done some searching about hair pins and tube axles, and while most people figured there would be no problems, some did mention failures. While I would prefer to use hairpins, I'm very concerned with the possibility of a failure, being that my truck will by my daily driver and some roads here aren't the best.

I also see that several manufacturers (Zipper, Speedway) advocate the use of hairpins with tube axles, but on t-buckets and such. As my truck will be fairly heavy (the engine is in the range of 700lb itself) I want to make sure I make the right choice the first time.

Reading through the archives, I've become more confused than anything.
