It's late, I'm sun burnt, and I can't keep my eyes open but I thought I would post a few pictures from this years Billetproof. Excellent build quality on this truck! It was really well put together. Now this thing is my idea of a Hot Rod, perfect! A Sweet Mild Kustom I spoke with the owner/builder of this car and she was so nice! I've seen it in a few diffrent magazines and was glad to see it in real life. Awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome... Another solid little Kustom.
It's Sunday-So-Holy Hotrods!! Tough iron man, I LOVED, everything you showed us so far, Ms. Metals new paint is as cool as everything else she creates. Hope you post more, sorry you were broiled by ol sol, get the aloe vera gel on that toasted body for some relief!! Thanx for being so brave to give me my Sunday morning treat and taking me up to the motor city-Sololobo
Gassers were popular this year... It's cool to see so many. This one had Kustom lovers everywhere crying. I liked it, the guy certainly had a giant set of stones to do this to a Merc.
Nice pics, thanks. There was a thread on here the other day asking if there were any "Gasser" Mercs around back in the day, and I think the concensus was that they were just too damned big to be competitve, even if they're not particularly heavy.
I didnt take that many pictures, didnt do much walking around because of the heat. Though i did get some video. I personaly like this one the best of the burn out contest. I might be a little bias.
Great video Ed, and you guys should see the rubber shrapnel, definately took some balls, to do a burnout in an open wheeled roadster.
I had a good time. I've got to plan better next year, by the time I drove 4 1/2 hours to get there people were clearing out because of the heat (I don't get it... bitch about a short driving season in the north, then whine when the sun shines). Missed the meet-n-greet, but still got a hug from Denise.
Mercman, Yeah, I'm gonna have to get that out a little more often than once every 3-5 years. It ran well, much to my suprise....it does kinda ride like a turd tho. I think Beatnik's days of road racing the T are done. Didn't see it happen...I'm guessin that he was takin the corner Joey Chitwood style...cause that's how he rolls. Billetproof was a good time. This was one of my fav's, nice.
That's Chris's (62 Wagon)'s Brother's car. Donut29. It is cool...lots of neat touches like the police speedo and the nailhead...but he has maybe 10 miles on it so far. Still a TRAILER QUEEN!!!! LOL
good times good people good bands cool cars and hot chicks what more can you ask for I had a blast glad to read my car was someones fav oh way nice to hear
Congrats on the "Best Hot Rod" award, well deserved. It was great seeing you again and thanks for the hookup ride home for my painting. If it would have gotten wet that would have really sucked. See ya around town.
Excellent build quality on this truck! It was really well put together. Thanks for the pics! Love this little truck esspecially the rear suspension set up. Very cool
