Just got back from the antique nats.A good turn out as usual, but the place was a little out of shape. Most of the grandstands are gone , replaced by a big hole, where they are now excavating. Kind of surreal. Its a shame that this event, and others are coming to an end.
On the other hand it was my first actual ride out of my neighborhood( I will describe that in another post)
Here are some pictures Im sure others will add more

Thanks for posting the photos! That is one meet I've always wanted to get too, ever since Rod & Custom first covered it back in the 1970's.

what a great time!, I look like a big tall oaf standing in the way of that pic, also I got the worst ****in sunburn ever. There is not a venue open for next year, everybody is saying the forever 4 club cant afford to rent out either of the other 2 tracks. by the way there was a lot of non V-8's there this year.

Holy Cow! That Cord Beverly/Hupmobile Skylark/Graham Hollywood sedan in "military" trim without fenders is a neat piece. These cars are so advanced for their time, always wondered if there would be a market for a gl*** copy since there were only 100s of them built of any of the 3 makes using the same body, and Hup and Graham used the same front sheetmetal as well.

  16. Thanks for the pics....... I wish I could have made it this year as it is one of the best events to attend to see really traditional rods and rodders having fun.
Life always seem to get in the way of fun times.

Nice pics!!! What a *****in time, this year! I didn't even care that I had a 20 sec. car LOL!, it was just fun running down the track.

  26. haha 'neck snapping shifts' glad you were able to control all that horsepower lump!

  27. The little red lakes modified with a 2 port Riley in it is mine. Guess I'll retire it now. Unless it happens and they run again. One track wants $25000 up front. At this years price it would take 1250 entries.
Another problem is that most of the remaining strips operate under NHRA rules and there is no way for me to install a roll cage without cutting up the car so I will stay home, gettin too old anyhow.
Sorry to get carried away. You have a lot of good pics tho
