Your instructions are confusing as hell. Please for the love of easy wiring rewrite these. It is a awesome set or instructions for setting up a car with out existing wiring and hooking it to a alternator but its no use for hooking up older motors with a generator. It just gets confusing from there. Sorry i am just kinda frustrated.

Now I have the turn single hooked up exactly how you told me to hook it up. The head light switch is a GM switch. Here is the exact switch

Now i made some movies here so you all can get a idea of what is going on. Now i have every thing hooked up how it should be (i hope) My car starts just fine. All my instruments work. Now I have a issue with my right front parking light not working. But the turn signal in that light works.

Okay here is no headlights and the right turn signal. This is the only thing that seams to work

Next here is No headlights and the left turn signal

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/NeqB7EFcsIg"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/NeqB7EFcsIg" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

next is no headlights and putting the brake on as you can see the left brake light is dimmer

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/j_2WbNiDcjE"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/j_2WbNiDcjE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

next is headlights on and the left turn signal. as you can see the turn signal is flashing the tail lights. Its not going through the turn signal light that is hooked to the left turn signal wire to the harness

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/GXp8y0tulO8"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/GXp8y0tulO8" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

And the last one is the brake on and the headlights on then I turn them off

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/L0f4V8EosiM"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/L0f4V8EosiM" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

oh ya and the right hand indicator light staying on when I turn my lights on is a new issue along with my right side parking light not working.

    Asher,
Got your pm early this morning. After looking at the videos we have several questions about exsisting wiring system and new connections. Bob is on his way back to TN and will stop and call you this morning and will get you straightened out. Thanks for your patience.

You guys are a ok.. I can see he really knows nothing about wiring and that doesnt help a bit. As far as the other guy telling him that its easier to wire a car with out a kit im gonna call bull shit on that although ive wired a bunch of em with just a spool of wire and a couple schematics. Wire kits are designed to help people who know nothing about wiring a car. Ive actually gotten away from doing it my self and now use kits.

Several weeks ago, as I was finishing wiring the whole car, I encountered a ton of aggravation with the turn signals/brake lights. After two days of frustration, my brother figured out that the wiring diagram that came with the Ron Francis T.S. switch was labelled incorrectlly. Brake light terminal, and T.S. power terminal were reversed, as were two of the T.S. lights. I even had power window switches blinking when I switched a turn signal on. Fuses kept blowing too. What a nightmare!..................Woody

Based on the diagram, the P leg of the relay is for positive power from the battery through the fuse block. The L leg of the relay goes to battery ground. Based on what I saw in the diagram, you have no interface at all with the fuse block that you put on (not necessarily) but you could take the foxtron wires specified for each light to the fuseblock connections for that light. Other than that, you'll be splicing into the light wires from the foxtron. However, if you splice those wires, note that you'll have a 3 way splice (not the best idea) because you still need the lights to receive power from the fuse block for the lights.

Thanks every one for the help. Now that I finally had a good nights sleep for once I am refreshed and ready to tackle the issue. I worked day / night for 2 weeks from 3:30 in the after noon till 3:30 in the morning to get the wiring and car finished. I will help you rebel guys with directions on how to hook up the Buick ignition with your kit so you can include it with the kit. This way some one else wiring up a Buick won't run into the frustration I have encountered.

Did you change any bulbs when you did this hook up?

Several things that can drive you nuts in turn signals. One is the filament from one tail light falls down and the end welds itself to the other filament. Another is somebody put a single contact bulb in a double contact socket and a third is a bulb that isn't completely turned to its correct index effectively creating a bridge between the tail lights and the turn signals.

All the bulbs are 12 volt. I replaced them all when I did the wiring. The turn signals are single filament bulbs in a single contact socket. My old wiring was hooked up the same way for the brakes and the turn signals with a 1 filament single contact bulb / socket.

    Asher,
I know you and Bob have been in contact today. I feel that between the two of you, we can work this out. After speaking with him this evening, it sounds as if there may be several issues that need to be addressed.
If there is anything I can help with, please let me know.

I know this is an OLD post but my Ron Francis light switch ( the same one shown) says the taillights are fused on the same circuit as the dash lights. BUT still show a 2nd wire From the taillights AND the 2 male plugs on the light switch are connected to the "tailights" and a BLANK terminal by a buss bar NOT to the dash light terminal.???
