Newbie down on his rearend

    :confused: I swaped out my 53 buick special factory fronend with a 79 camaro sub front end dropped right where i want.However i am clueless to what rearend would be the proper install.I am running with a sbc 350 and turbo 350 any help on this up-front thanks

    umm, there is nowhere enough information here to even begin to answer the question. I assume there was a question here. How about telling us what you are working on for starters!

    I'd use a rear from the same or close to the car you got the sub frame from. That should be a 10 bolt Gm. There are alot of them and there cheap.

    71-81 camaro rear, check the ratio before you buy you probably want something around 2.76-3.08 for road trips, higher for around town driving

    i have 10 bolts out of 69 camaros cheap and 9 in out of 65 mustangs let me know if i can help

    There's no "proper" rear to use. You can use anything you like. 10 bolt, 12 bolt, Dana, Ford 9 in., 8 3/4, etc. You should worry more about the gear ratio, to match your engine trans combo, and the type of driving you are going to do.
