a MAN WHO PUT THE SOUND OF OPEN EXHAUST IN FRONT OF MORE PEOPLE THAN MOST HAS GONE ON TO REST IN PEACE. Bill France Jr. will be remembered as the legend that put NASCAR on tv and created a giant racing industry. His son Brian will be at the helm and continue the legacy. The original moonshiner madness carries on!!Thanks Bill!!-Sololobo

Very friendly guy who always had a nice thing to say when I ran into him at the Publix. (We lived on the same part of the Island in Daytona'ish) I am sad to hear about his p***ing. MUCH nicer and friendlier than his son who is crazier than a loon.

Weather you like NASCAR racing or not (I do), I think most will agree that what Bill Francr Jr did for the sport helped all forms of racing and the performance market in general. He will be missed.

I don't know much about Bill France Jr. except what Smokey Yunick said in his book. "Billy wasn't smart enough to poor piss out of a boot". Then again Smokey didn't hold big Bill in very high reguards.

The France family took something that was nothing and turned it into a huge market. The man will be missed.
