  4. Im not sure if there is a specific website dedicated to the drags but im sure there will be someone chiming in shortly with cl***es and how the race is actually ran. . . Not sure but it may just be a test and tune kinda thing or there maybe actual eliminations, either way i just wanna run with some similar era cars !!! The track is just north of tulsa on us 169 at 36th street north and there homepage is www.tulsaracewaypark.com Excellent facility and very nice racing surface and track officials. We run a promod there and it will hold it, so i know it will take anything you can throw at it .

Damn 1972 and older. I am itching to get my new
    commuter on the track.

Edmunds says it should do 13.3 @106 but I want to
    try it for myself.

I'll be hauling over the flathead HA/GR for the race. Recycler also plans to run his new Top Fuel rail (Black Widow) for the first time. Can't wait.

Well, of course we'll be there with the Anglia. Although, we're probably just gonna run as part of the Central State G***ers this year. I figured it up and I guess we've been going to the old time drags for about 13 years now. It's something we look forward to all year long! We love the Tulsa Roadsters and hope they continue puttin' on this show for many years to come! For you newbies...look out for old man Carter in his old vette. He'll kick your ***! How old is he gettin to be now, around 80?

I think Carter won all the marbles there a few years ago.
Legend has it that he ran that Vette with a stick in it well into his 60's or early 70's.
The race used to be set up where all the cl***es ran to a logical conclusion and then the winners ran for a "Top Eliminator" and extra cash.
I don't know if that format still holds true or not.
Regardless of that,it is still one of the funnest races of the year in these parts.

Anybody from the DFW area going up and back on Saturday? Or at least going up on Saturday morning?

I'm in Plano at my Mom's until Friday night. I'm getting the urge to go up and watch the drags. Maybe I could hitch a ride with somebody that's not driving their wife's '04 Malibu?

I may try to head over for a few hours. I've been wanting to see some of the HA/GR cars up close. Might be picking up a part that's headed up from Edmond for my latest project while I'm there.

'72 and older? Heh, my wife would **** if I ran the '68 Nova that was her 94 year old great aunt's car. It's my daily driver now, 250 / powerglide, and bare bones.

Yeah, it's been raining way too much around Tulsa lately. Sure was nice seeing the wind chill listed on the local news web site yesterday afternoon. Don't see that in Oklahoma during the summer...

I think we are going to try and hit it. We may go by the Trinity show also.

See if I can get Chip Foose's autograph for Boom Boom. :)
