I picked up issue #10 of “Traditional Rod & Kulture Illustrated” yesterday. This is my first issue of this magazine. I don’t know where I have been but I really like this magazine. Compared to the other “kulture and rodz” magazines, this one has some cl***. Good pictures, great cars, cl***y pinups, just an overall good magazine. Just wanted to get your thoughts.

So why can't you just build a hotrod anymore? I mean thats the point right? I guess I just get tired of all those magazines.. I mean why does there have to be "culture", fancy clothes, those girls with the fifties hair, the traditional "I'm a hotrodder can't you tell?" tattoos everywhere and expensive magazines you have to buy? Sure, I like some of that stuff is cool and all but it's all getting a little excessive don't ya think?

I reckon its a great mag, I think Ratfink has it confused with Ol Skool......
Most of the Kulture is in the name, the mag is way more about the cars, and some tastefull pin ups, don't think I have seen a truley ****ty car in there yet and not much in the tattoo's either.

RATFINK... I THINK 55OLD88 HAS IT RIGHT.

THIS IS QUITE THE CL***Y MAGAZINE. NO CAR THAT MAKES YOU SAY " WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING"

    NO "RAT RODZ"

THEY ACTUALLY COME OUT AND TELL PEOPLE TO CALL THEM HOT RODS. GO PICK UP A COPY. I FOUND MINE AT BARNES AND NOBLE.

BY THE WAY (RATFINK) I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAID ABOUT THOSE "OTHER MAGAZINES"

I THINK MY SIGNATURE SAYS IT ALL. (SORRY TO WHO EVER I STOLE IT FROM)

One of the best mags around, they have a great staff and a great attention to detail, style and tradition!

We are lucky that it is sold here. I personally think it is a solid 1st in my opinion. Great shots of nice cars, in a timeless fashion. And i must add they were very willing and anxious to tell the Hot Rod world of a special HAMB'r that we have here. So keep those eyes peeled on the upcomming issue. Opppppppppppppppps did i say that?

I like that they have the good taste to not include pics of my car in its transitional phase.

I am a Charter Subscriber to TR&K and have never regretted the decision......I love the magazine and consider it in the top 2-3 of the *traditional* genre...(and I am not saying that because my car was in the mag last year)....maybe Rodder's Journal being #1, and a toss up for 2 & 3 between Rod & Custom and Traditional Rods and Kulture.........Street Rodder is for the gold chainers I'm afraid, and HOT ROD has way too many modern cars...... Ol SKool Rodz is written by illiterates for illiterates......

I was also a Charter Subscriber to my friend, Luke Karosi's *Kustoms Illustrated* and with each issue he gets better and better.........I think it's *THE* magazine about traditional custom cars.........

    My $0.02

I only get 3 now, The Rodders Journal, The Jalopy Journal, and Traditional Rod and Kulture. The rest are JUNK.
I also like TR&K eazier to read print than some of the other mags.

And Traditional Rod and Kulture is an Alliance Vendor, they support us.

By far one of the best magazines for traditional cars out there. Each issue tops the previous. Great articles and features; pinups with cl***, not trashy;plus a great new Zombie sketch with each new issue. If it continues to improve at its current rate, think TRJ without heavy stock paper.

  23. Dug it when I saw the first issue and promptly subscribed...glad to see it has hung around and just keeps getting better...hopefully it goes monthly soon...I tend to go through old issues over and over

I've been reading car magazines for many years. I'm old now so I listen to music and read magazines before I can fall asleep. I like this magazine a lot, so much so that I made it a point to stop by their booth at Paso and tell them personally.

There are so many magazines out now, its amazing that they can find enough cars to field an entire magazine.

I like this one and hope they do well. The Kulture part is stupid. But there really isnt that much of the tattoo silliness in this magazine.

of the two copies I have seen, its nice stuff.

its OK,,,not picking on just them,,,but those 'traditional' car magazines need to get out and cover some different ****in shows or functions or cars or other **** for once,,,its the same ol ****,the same ol peoples cars and the same ****in car shows,.they are actually starting to do feautres on cars they have already shown,,,..... HEADLINE "PASO ,VIVA,HUNNERT CAR PILE UP,BILLETPROOF,BILLETPROOF MICHIGAN,CHHR,AUTORAMA,PRIMMER NATS,LONESTAR ROUND UP, BO HUFF " ...NOT THAT i have ANY problem with any of the above mentioned! i wish i could go to each and everyone! ,,but these mags always seem to show the same **** over and over again of the same cars.........always the same ol ****,,,,guess its ok if your flowing the flock....or new on the bandwagon,,,

..i dont even buy any car related mags anymore other than Garage,TRJ and very ocasionally LRM,,
