I remember us talking about it now at the meet and greet. It's a BEAUTIFUL car and my most favorite of all the cruzn at speed shots.....well I do kinda favor ******* cars.;)

Nice seeing you again too. Day 3 coverage will have a photo of you and I together:D Next time though I think I'd really like that photo together of us in your '39....means I'd really like a ride...hint, hint.;)

It was great to meet you in-person Denise - of all the rockstars and tv celebrities walking around that weekend, you were the only "famous person" ;) that I really wanted to meet, but alas...by the time you saw me Friday eve I was a walking zombie since I'd had very little sleep in the days leading up to hitting the road to Paso. I had hopes of spotting you on Saturday after I'd had time to re-coop and have a few beers to regain composure, but in my usual level of efficiency I left my cell & your # back at the room & with the swarms of people in the park on Sat., spotting you was sorta like trying to find the corn kernel in the outhouse.

Oh well, I'ma ****ty conversationalist anyways

Hope to see you & BigOlds next time around

  6. Champion effort again,

We really appreciate your effort to ALWAYS relay your trip experiences with us, you've done most of the 'best' USA events I can think off, and look forward to the day you start your Aussie ********** tour:D we'll have some cookies for you at the airport...:D :)

    Cheers,

    Drewfus:D

    Denise,
I'd take Andrew up on his offer, I've been there and they showed my a great time on my visit to Australia two years ago. I saw a couple garages, had some killer BBQ and enjoyed chatting it up with fellow mates about hotrods and their future projects. They have some great cars out there and i can only imagine how nice it would be while there's a car show going on. It was very welcoming and the hospitality was genuine:)
    Thanks again Andrew!

    peace,
    CAB

  8. Steve you're welcome, more than welcome, as shown in threads like this (and most of Denise's threads), we have friends everywhere, some new, some old, and some we've never met, yet:D

I really admire these threads, as the HAMB community really shines, smiles left, right, and centre, as different as we all are, we share a common p***ion.

Back to the photo's and memories, looking forward to part 3 of the adventure.

    Cheers,

    Drewfus:)

We then decide that maybe we should get something to eat since it was almost dinnertime and we hadn’t even thought about food since breakfast in the hotel back in San Jose. We start across the park to head to this Italian resturant that Terri mentioned was good and lo and behold we run into Jason, EvilFordCoupe, owner of Flyrite Choppers in Austin Tx and Marcy in her booth. It was AWESOME seeing you both. (Thanks Marcy for the you know what. I actually ended up wearing it a lot once we started driving up the coast. You’re a sweetheart! xoxox)

(He told me he’d get me if I posted this so if I end up dead somewhere he should be the number one suspect:D )

I would never ever ever in a million years do such a thing. EVER!!!

Denise, you have made us all wish we could have been there. Your "partners" Larry & Megan just add a special slant to your story. Again, thank you for giving us this insight into this event. The cars crusing is the best, much better than just setting there with the hood open! But the truly great part you portray is the most inportant part, the people - cars are cool - but people enrich our lives, as yours has mine.

I was in Burbank at Leno's Big Dog garage while on the EgoRama. I believe you are about 1 mile or so from there??:p

and to answer your question, yes I will be back to Paso, perhaps driving Big Olds there next year. Been thinking about that being my annual two week driving vacation and if that is the case I will secretly find out where you live and just show up on your doorstep so you have no choice but to meet me.:D I'm shooting 1 for 3

;) You and I will talk closer to next years Paso and make "arrangments";)

  21. Your kidding, my shop is really close to Lenos place as well. Next time contact me.

  22. 1 for 3 it is. I'm a 1/4 mile from Jay's place. I see him a couple times a week. I didn't(?) know of your trip there, or i would've invited you over my shop, BEFORE Jay's place, so it wouldn't have looked too humble.

Thanks so much for the very kind words. I'm so glad you feel this way. It's exactly how I feel and why I place such a HUGE importance on Meet & Greets. Getting people together to actually meet each other in real life is extremly important and having name tags so you can visually see the persons name helps in remembering it.

You will REALLY enjoy the next segment, Day 3 as there are over 100 "people"/HAMB folks photos. I'm in the process of trying to get the names straight.
