Production Numbers For 40's Stude Trucks?

Hi Folks,

I'm trying to figure out total prod #s for the 1/2 version of the 40s stude trucks.

From what I understand, the serial number indicates the year, but not 100% sure on that.

Does anybody know total production by year or by model/year?

According to the Standard Catalog of Light Duty American Trucks the production totals for M-series half-tons are "1941"-4685, "1942"-315,"1946"-14,052, "1947"-23,337, and "1948"-10,253. Hope this helps.
