MY T-Bucket Gets Striped

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by swade41, Jun 6, 2007.

  1. My fellow club member Paul Strauss stoped by and layed down some licks over the 50 dollar paint job I gave it. To say the least I am very happy with the outcome and can't wait to get it back on the chassis.

NICE! keep us updated on the build.

  4. You know I layed 1/4 inch foam over the trans then wax paper on top of that and then but down my glass and resin. That odd ball shape fits the trans perfect but doesn't look that great by it's self. I'm going to drop the body back on first and see what it looks like.
I'm thinking about a sheet of mirror stainless but really don't know yet.

I'll have to check this out from home so I can see the pics.

Hey IBB41, do you ever drive down to the Super Cruise car show at the Silver Lake drive in in Perry NY? The get upwards of 350 cars on the super cruise nights.

June 21 Thurs. Super Cruise #1
July 19 Thurs. Super Cruise #2
Aug. 16 Thurs. Super Cruise #3

  8. No never heard about it, the club was talking about going to a supercruise in Batavia though. I've been laying low on the cruise nights since I don't have anything on the road.

They're held on Thursday nights and usually worth the trip. Bring your bucket down when it's done. The website is www.charcoalcorral.com

That one in Batavia.....is that the show that's held on Main St? That's a good one too.

  11. Thanks my freind Cliff came over tonight and ran the valves for me and helped put the body back on the frame. It sits right at 31 inches at the top of the doors, crotch level for me, so maybe I'll be able to get into yet..lol

Looks great man keep up the good work and post more pics, my dad and I have been itching to build something similar...

  13. Cool looking paint & striping.

I went and checked out your post on the $50 paint job; yeah, I've read that moparts.org thread (well, not all 350,982,451 posts of it...).

Been thinking of using that paint on my Dodge pickup; probably look about right: shiny, but not too shiny. Kind of like when it was new.

But, how did you manage to put $50 worth of paint on that small a body?

The reveal was gone before I got there. I think.

  20. Yeah, you can get all the sand you want for free at the beach. But by the time someone goes down there with a stack of flypaper...

I stopped by the hardware store because I needed one or 2 sheets; had to buy a pack of five - for a few bucks. Ouch.
