Hope you are getting better ... I have been bruised up bad similar to yours ( dirt track wreck :( ) before and it took a week or so ... to feel better.

Could anyone enlighten me? I am not sure how you knew this was a scam. I would guess the price, but that is not 100% give away. Do you know the car and it's owner.

Please do not misunderstand, I am not doubting anyone, I am just trying to learn.

One day I hope to buy an old 30s car and I think ebay will be the only way I'll find one.

    Thanks

    Mike

The blue 32 3W coupe on eBay is a well known coupe. The HAMB owner of it posted the above photo of it ... from the early 70's ...

BUY it now for 3 grand ...
Any knowledgeable 32 3W coupe owner knows the window moldings bring almost that much on eBay ... 1932 3W Bodies are 10, 15 and 20 thousand dollars ( rough bodies ... just bodies ) ... on eBay.

Now for a little different thing ...

I know Chapin SC real well ... and there are lots of old cars lying around. NO 1932 Fords ... ( I already bought them ... or the ones I found ) Go to the cruise night at Fat Boy's on Highway #1 ... on the second Saturday night ... and meet some of the folks with old cars ...

These are on eBay all the time. They are popping up on Craigslist all the time now also. Unless you are a complete idiot and it seems there are plenty around it's obviously a scam.

Any auction that states a BIN amount but no BIN available (officially through eBay) is a scam.

    Deuce Roadster,

Thanks for the info, on the scam and the Fat Boy's.

3 years ago a guy here in Chapin sold an old rod, a 29 Ford, to another for $5000. It was built in the 70's. It ran good but didn't stop. I was a day late and a dollar short.

I emailed one of those auctions back and forth for a joke one time, pictures of my buddy's kinmonts were taken and put up on an ebay auction so I emailed the seller and said that I had 8 cars and my goal was to have a set of these brakes on each car at some point and would like to know if he had anymore, he replied saying I was in luck that he did have 8 sets available so I laughed about it and emailed him back asking if they would fit not only ford spindles but would they fit a model A chevelle supersport with the independent front a arms.......sure enough he responds back and said they would fit with no problem, I agreed to take all 8 pair and asked how to send the money and he sends back a reply of overnighting a money order, I strung him out for about a month giving him bogus money order numbers and tracking numbers after that he finally gave up on me, it was good for a luagh sitting at work.
