Well, as said, one good thing is if you want to swap it out for something cool, you already have a good running frame.

I (whenever I get around to doing the car) have a 51 Merc 2 dr that needs either a ton of rot repair, or a chassis./floor swap. I have a 77 Olds I got for free, and was planning on using that. Long story short, I was thinking about doing the motor swap/rewire/bags and duals on the Olds before cutting teh body off...posting it as a joke then show it getting cut up and the Merc body grafted on.

    Eh stupid story, stupid idea.

Don't worry about it man. It's true, you don't have 3000 posts yet or no one would have a problem. Hell, a while back there even was a "show your daily drivers" type thread but it was started by someone in the "clique". LOL.

Have fun and best of luck with your rod. There's more good people here than assholes so remember that too.

Hi all. I'm new to this site and this is one of the first threads I've read. You guys are merciless! The reason I'm here is I'm looking for info on frame swaps. I'd like to do this for most of the stated reasons; safety, comfort, ease and economy of maintenance, etc. But I use my trucks for more than just a dd. I use them as WORK trucks. I wonder about the capabilities of a small truck. Don't get me wrong, I drove a LUV truck for a lot of years and know the small truck can do alot but they just don't have the hauling/towing potential. You get all the modern stuff and the capabilities in a fullsized frame.(I'm almost afraid to ask this) What is the attraction of the S10 over fullsized or other small trucks? Go easy now. I'm sensitive.(isn't stiring the pot fun?)

But if he grafted on a 40's or 30's pickup body it would be??Bullshit!!Any truck running an s-10 frame is still running an S-10 frame, cut this kid some slack and get over yourselves...How many of you are running after market parts on your cars??Doesn't make it original or period correct, does it??Didn't think so..'Nuff said, end of story..If it ain't technical input or somehow helping someone, then don't open your traps, because as common sense would tell ya,Karma is a bitch..By the way,my daily driver is a '72 Coupe DeVille, and it's going to be done in a Sled sort of way..Anyone got any problems with that??

    Someone needs a hug!
BTW...My daily is a '91 Caprice wagon...Flaked roof, slammed to the ground and running the ultra non-trad 17" grey Salt Flats. Anything cool is just that...cool. A flat black basically stock mini truck is not cool. Back to hot rod talk already in progress.

  17. I already asked the mods to delete this post.

My paint isn't flat black and the "mini-truck" is not stock. But thanks for the bump to the top. :D

I am not trying to be a dick, but I corrected your grammar. Actually I have done work to it. The beautiful thing about my car is that I dig it. And I really don't give a FUCK what other people think of it or what they say I should do with it...

lmao........all of this is just great.......flame on and lets see your daily drivers.......put some mods on your dailies with the digi-color board.
Mine is a 89 Olds Cutlass, and it runs great with an average of 32mpg. Hell, why do you want this thread shreaded?
It is a comical thread and everyone needs to really get down and be honest with their POS daily drivers. Lets all give a shit and do as was asked, "Whats' your daily POS driver?"

Nothing wrong with doing as requested. Hell I have six rides, and not all of them are on the road, but, I do have old shit that is being built.

So get on with the show and stop pissing your pants everyone.....
