Picked up and dropped on the Track Roadster body Sunday.

Scott did a kick-ASS job on the paint. check out the reflection shot on the door - contours are spot-on.

The color? '48 Ford Monsoon Maroon Lacquer - shot with 15% flattening agent so's the paint will look a bit more 'aged' in a month or so.

    Enjoy.

I dont think the paint is going to flatten out any more then it is now and if its been cut and buffed what you see is what you get. Pat

It's not gonna be flat-flat; but it will oxidize somewhat in the next month or so; lacquer tends to flatten a bit over time, unless it's waxed regularly.

  21. I would love to see some more pics and an update in a few months on how it worked out. I've been thinking about a similar angle/goal for "period" looking paint without getting into fauxtina.

Love those maroons! Plymouth has one in those years called Cruiser Maroon, a little purplier than that.
    Great look!
Always set every component up and install everything that requires modifying a panel BEFORE paint unless you want that scratch and scrape style patina.
