I have just moved to San Clemente, CA and am looking for some reliable honest help in the area with my 66 Ford Galaxie 7 litre. Anyone with information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time.

This place is really like a big old garage with a bunch of folks just sitting around ********ting and if you just step in unannounced you might offend a few folks. I'm sure you will get lots of help out o' the HAMBers just let em know who thwy are helping!

  3. I grew up in San Clemente. best town with the best surf in the world. I wish I got to surf there more often. I surfed cottons and uppers every day for 15 years.
    Dont ever move away.

    Sorry,
A friend in Arizona told me about this message board. Didn't mean to offend anyone. I am just a girl with a car in need of some help. I got this car from my dad when he died and I am lost. Again, sorry....

  5. wait..., ddddddont go away. A girl you say?

  6. 74ina66: Sorry I did not mean to sound like I was jumping on you I really do mean welcome as this is a great place full of very cool men & women who will be more than happy to help you with the car. That is very cool that you have your dads car and want to keep it going. Stick around and tell us about the car and your dad and you. All I meant to say was introduce yourself so we have an idea of who you are, and come hang out in the garage!!! Oh yeah and you do live in a kick *** place, lots of good car stuff happening behind the Orange Curtain.

    Welcome,

There seems to be a tight group of guys down your way. Otherwise roll up to Costa Mesa - I need something to work on.

Not much to tell. My name is Michelle and I just moved to Orange County from Sacramento from Idaho from Germany from Washington State from Mississippi and finally -- originally from Pennsylvania by way of the USAF. I live with my crazy Marine husband now and a crazier dog. I am into hanging out with them, showing off my dad's car when it runs and going to shows. My car is really clean with a few dents around the wheel well from a previous towing excursion and has only minor engine problems. I had a friend of mine from Phoenix (thanks "so-cheap" Phil) post for me before on here when I was in Sacramento and required some help but I figured I'd post for myself this time. Thanks to Dave and Mike S. in Sacto who helped me get it together the first go around. You guys rock. I don't have any pictures of my car to post right now. When I have some I'll post them. Right now she is just sitting in my garage. My birthday is in two weeks and all I want is for my car to cruise again! [IMG] Thanks again for reading my thread and sorry for any mix up.

Don't miss Fab Fords at Knott's Berry Farm. It's a must do for the Ford fan. Should be this Sunday coming up.

If you can't find anyone closer, I've got a great guy in Tustin. PM me if you want his number.

i hope you find a good cheap honest mechanic, yes they're out there, you just gotta dig.the smart thing to do IMHO is to start learning the wrench thing for yourself.community colleges and adult ed. will have basic auto repair cl***es,also try to find some local cruise nights and find folks with similar cars and try to learn from them.most car people LOVE talking about cars, especially their own.you might even get lucky and find a car club to hang out with.my definition of a car club is;the people who will help you out with tools, advice, and friendship.plus i think your dad would be proud to know you're keeping his ride going yourself-george [IMG]

They sure are! They drove out to my place in the scenic beautiful well restored town of North Highlands (yikes) when I was living out there and got my car up and running in a quick minute. I haven't talked to them in a while. Are they still monitoring the message board?
