    If so,
    What headers are you running?
    I have a set that came from a 68',
But I'm not sure if there going to fit my 61?
    Ant info would be great.

  2. The FE was first installed in light trucks in '65. Prior to that, they used the Y block, with the front single mount & 2 bellhousing side mounts. When a later engine is swapped, headers (if they have problems) hit the clutch linkage or the remains of the side mounts. I don't have a specific number for you to try- most applications list '66-'76 for the FE trucks, so the ones you have may fit as well as anything. Otherwise, take a look & Summit or Jegs online & try to find a pair that drops down vertically & then goes back (if your new mounts will clear them). Most of the FE swaps I've seen in the earlier chassis use automatics.

    Thanks for the info.
    I am running a C6.
My buddy is getting ready to powder coat these headers for me and I don't want him to waste his time. But, I have'nt had a chance to mock them up since this truck is my daily driver

Got a buddy with a 390 in a `62 unibody . The only thing he got to fit was a set of Sanderson`s shorties. We had tried several different sets, but never did find a good fit. Gasserman
