<font color="red"> I had so much fun Thursday night/Friday morning helping finish up. I really wish you guys had let me know you were working on it sooner. Damn, I could have saved Len's skin from being rubbed off. It looks awesome! It's even more pretty, I mean handsome, in person. Great design ideas. I learned a lot of stuff and can't thank you enough for letting me pester ya a bit.

Yeah, no need to thank me, it was probably the most fun I've had since I moved out here. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to have a hand in the re***embly.

El Pol, I think that is the nicest 60's model truck I have seen. The grill looks like it was made for it. The paint is perfect. Ya'll did good. TP

The truck looks absolutely awesome in person, when I walked up to it on Saturday you could still smell the paint it was so fresh.

We've been seeing glimpses of that truck for quite some
time. Glad to finally see some action shots on the road.

That's quite a bit of confidence to finish building it and
run to Vegas the next day. Was the shakedown run to the
gas station for the first fill up?

That Deyo is a travelling helper, he was just here in Texas
tearin **** up a couple weeks ago.

I concur...two thumbs up! The paint scheme, grille treatment, stance...it all works. Fantastic job.

What's the motor-vation? Looks to be a big block in the open hood pic, but I can't make it out exactly.

It's amazing what you can accomplish with a lot of determination and a goal in just a matter of weeks.

The engine in that truck is a very potent 427 Chevy. The truck looks fantastic and plain hauls *** as well. I was really glad to see it out there. It's been a long time coming.

Thanks to ElP for parking next to me, that's the only way my old yella heap will end up in any pictures [IMG].

    This is such a coincidence...

My brother is just days from getting a great deal on a PU from nearly the same vintage as this one. He asked me the other day to do some renderings so that he could try to decide on paint and I told him I thought two - maybe three tone or scallops would be cool. That paint looks almost exactly like what was floating around in my head!!! Different colors maybe but the lines are right there. I was trying to "hide" or "camouflage" the area above the grill. You know? Visually shorten the lines there?

I will be directing him to this post none-the-less. Last night he was asking me if I thought going the g***er way would be cool. I am worried about that look. I am trying real hard to see it, but when I think g***er I think Willy's/Anglia. Is that wrong? I am too young to know - they probably made everything into a g***er - they were a little more adventureous back then.

I should have been paying closer attention during the g***er posts......
