Such a cool thing that has to gone to the ****s!!!!! I hope the good of the evil (John&Jen) come up with their own show. As for the evil other half, I hope it does go belly up and to ****s for him. KNUX!

  2. I really hope it stays local..... and continues. I always look forward to that show. As for Paso, I cant imagine it ending...The biz owners make a grip off us that weekend.

You guys have it all wrong. This isn't about a show promoter/promoters making money (hard work has to be worth something) its about a business partner making a lot of money and taking most of the credit, while the REAL workers (the back bone of it all) gets little credit and hardly any funds for their hard work and sleepless nights!

Trust me, I know all about that...and it stinks!

I have also been wondering when the news would surface, and now its out of the bag.

I am proud that John & Jenny are cutting their ties and you can bet "The show will go on". My personal oppinion is that it should remain in Ventura county.

I will continue to provide their entertainment and watch the show grow bigger & better with every year that p***es!

John & Jen are family to me and I have seen them busting their ***es for years to get both shows to where they are now. & guess what, their partners who are not even into cars and could not tell the difference between a 54 Chevy and a 49 Ford are trying to **** them out of their share of the money. no more, no less...

it is a ****ty situation for them and I will do all I can to make sure they get the support that they deserve with their new show

So look for the Primer Invitational & Skip the Primer Nationals

I just hope it happens and that it stays at that venue. I love Seaside Park.

Damn, I was hoping to go this year since I missed Paso (and I love Ventura). It's always a shame when greed gets involved with a good thing and ruins it for the hard working folks that made it happen. It happened with a show here years ago, we boycotted it. ****ed, cause it meant no local show for a couple years but greedy guy lost his *** producing a show and no one came! Boycotts DO work.

Last weeks info there was to be a supposed "anti-primer" in Santa Maria.
This would be a major dissappointment for me and my friends that live
in VENTURA. Every year we've busted *** to get a car ready just for that
show. Sometimes they wouldn't have made it farther but they still looked
cool and we had fun. JOHN and JENNY are good friends have included my
small operation in there show and its promotions from the start. I really
wish they could just have a show in VENTURA!!!!!

    =============================================

Last year the REVOLUTION was on the same weekend. It was like the
North vs South. I hope that is taken care of. Previous years the primers
were in OCTOBER. That would be a cool time for John and Jenny's show
too, especially since they wanted a smaller more select show than what
    it is now.

    =============================================

Actually from what I understand is there're 5 "partners" that put on the show, JOHN, JENNY, GARY, DAVE and his son TORY. I don't know how any money is split and it doesn't matter to me.

TORY is a good guy, he's the "promoter" that's been slingin any current
handouts. His dad Dave is the rotten apple. Maybe if there was a way
for anyone who cares to call "THE SHOP" and tell DAVE "HUGGY BEAR" HANSEN
just to give up and maybe TORY could fix things with the PARKERS.

We will not attend if John doesn't have a part in the show. He's a good friend of ours and we will support him in any future shows. If you've ever met him you know how cool he is. Fu** the other clowns!

If they don't have an alternative show I suggest everyone wait two weeks and make it up to Antioch for Billetproof. It rocks!! I always wondered why there wasn't a stronger So-Cal presence at this show. If you've never been you're missing out. -stick

  16. Hey Bumpstick, I think your right, Socal to the Bay Area isnt really that far, any "true" Hot Rodder might want to consider that.
If in fact there will be a "new" show. I will attend that show as supposed to the Primer Nats.

Norther Cali shows are the best in California...I'm sick of the BS in So Cal...Fights every where ,,,*****y chicks and tones of at***ude...

The Primer Nats was a fantastic show now they can do what they want.

I think the people that get it will Follow J+J and it will weed out the bad and
    bring the right people..

It should be Invitational only as well..

  18. Why invitational, when the problem was with one of the partners, not the guests?

    This made me think.
If the show stays with the guy from the shop I won't be going.
I would rather wait till John and jenny throw there own show again.
Plus I'll add...that the first year for Primer was the best in my book....no ******** cars and smaller attendance always feels more real to me.

I think the Quality will be outstanding... Asphalt Invitational is a fantastic show becasue of the cars...I'm sick if the low standard of cars it gets repiditive..Thats why everything is a Rat Rod now..Because Quality is overlooked.

I think even if Primer Invite was a smaller event or Invite event it would bring out a better selection of cars.

i p.med the myspace primer nationals ,,this is what i got..

There is a rumor going around from a previous partner that the event is cancelled, that is not true. I can ***ure you the event is on and will be happening Labor Day weekend as advertised at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. It is great that you are coming all the way down from B.C. we look forward to seeing you, your enthusiasm and heart are the reason we have this show. Nice job on your chop by the way!

    Cheers
    Tory

so i guess i will be there this year

  22. And we all know, were that came from.

  23. The problem is, the majority of people will get this very message and make it near impossible for John/Jenny to have a successful show this late in the game on the same weekend

  24. Why does it have to be on the same weekend?

    Thanks,
    Kurt

Hey There, It's Jenny from the Primer Nationals. John and I will be putting on a show Sept 1-2nd in Ventura area for sure. Same awesome show, we just might have to change names and locations, but who cares!!!! I'll keep you posted in a week or so. But IT IS going to happen.

  27. Hey Jenny, I will soo be there and I will boycott the Primer Nationals.
    See ya there.

  28. That's great news "Juan"! John told me he was looking as far north as San Luis Obispo. Ventura would be better. Let us know as soon as you do, so's i can find local lodging. I like making the weekend of it. It worked out really good last year and got to meet and hang with the Lifters and Cavaliers at the motel we stayed at, then park together @ the show. A great bunch
