Back in the late 60's, Dale Gould built some fucking badass cars. I mean right up there with the big boys. This was taken when i just started driving. A very long time ago. Forgive my rambling, but a buddy gave me a bottle of JD @ the show today and i'm "road testing" it. Anyway, where in the hell was i? Oh, yeah. Back in the 60's, the 1860's...............................Dale built this Eldo, and if anyone knows who Bill Carter is? He painted it. And let me tell you, he's one of the BEST.No bullshit. His shit's been on EVERY magazine cover with dragsters, customs, lowriders, drag boats, bikes, duallys, etc. These were taken in 70 in front of Bills shop. BTW, he had a sign when i walked in that read-Pearl paint jobs $195, and Flake $225-COMPLETE!
If that Caddy falls under the def. of Lowrider, I like it. BTW, your typing and grammar skills are better with JD than most people without.
Love the 60's style customs with Astros, but never liked the Cholo stuff. 14" spokes with 560's,or the even more stupid...22" wheels.
In that period? Yes, that would've been a Lowrider. Butt, ass th Jak Denuls kiks in, eye thunk mi skils duhminish sum?
Ya i know who Bill Carter is, he is former President Jimmy Carter brother Billy... But wasn't Billy more famous for making piss beer ... Billy Beer
I love lowriders, but then again i can appreciate jsut about any style of car, of any make, its all about how its put together. that makes or breaks any car.
I loved it when lowriders were much more creative, they used to do much more cutom body work, now its just chrome plate everything.
Love 'em. One day I'll have one too. 64 galaxie 500 xl fastback, low as hell. No hydros or bags. 15"Astro's and a way out color. That be my dream low low.
I like them, my version of a mild early 60's custom/lowrider. This is the one car "I never should have sold".
Clean and smooth i like.... with bells, whistles and dingleberries not so much but as always i respect the talent behind them
Heres my favorite lowrider. I had a suscription to Lowrider when it first came out. That spread in Hot Rod by Terry Cook was a big influence, somebody send those pics in. I cant find my copy of it. I tore it out of a Hot Rod in the high school library.Pat Ghanahl use to always put lowriders in Street Rodder. This pic came out of the back of Hot Rod in the late 60's.
