    Hey,

Pretty cool! What was the last year that station sold fuel? Looks
pretty clean for a kustom shop! Do ya cover the windows with
plastic and tape when ya sand, grind or shoot, or jus' spend alot
    of time dustin'?

i think the last time fuel was sold there was in the late 70s,,,,
its actually a detailing shop,,,the kustom stuff is just a hobby for now,,when i work on the caddy, i go outside,,,close to where that hudson is,,

  12. Not to hijack, but you seem to have the taste and style sense of a person who grew up in the late 40s - early fifties, from what you build to your work ethic. How old are you? And where did you learn about customs?

i was born in 59,,,,whatever that adds up to,,haha,,,my dad gave me a stack of "little books" and some 41 lincoln pushbuttons when i was about 12 or so,,,,,,,now i have about 400 of the little books and i still have the lincoln pushbuttons (waiting for thr right car,,i have one in my head,,but thats for another time,)..my dad used to race stock cars back in the 50s at wall stadium,,wall, nj,,,i have some of his trophies, his nascar pin from 54, and some pics of his cars,,,he was into kustoms back in the 50s, and actually chopped a couple of 50 mercs,,,i have a pic of one of the mercs with primer on the posts and my skinny as a rail dad standing proudly in front of it (will post the stock car pics and the merc pic on another thread one of these days,,,he also helped with a car that got some ink in at least three of the little books,,the car belonged to a guy named paul seminick,,he owned a radiator shop in north bergen, nj and taught my dad how to do kustom work,,,,anyway,,ever since my dad gave me those mags, i've been obsessed with kustoms,,,he passed away about four years ago,,,i wish he could have seen my caddy...he would have loved it

Back before we had kids my wife would rent a movie on Fri or Sat night. Anyways one night she comes home with a movie "about Albert Einstein" - She could see how dissapointed I was - nothing against Einstein - I just couldn't imagine a movie with him in it being any good - oh my oh my how WRONG I was. "IQ" was the movie - it was freakin' great - the idea Einstein was remotely into HotRods or Customs kinda blew me away on a certain level - tie it all in with the comedy - freakin' hilarious and one of my all time favorites!!

Killer garage - better story. I bow to you!!!!!

Damn that's a nice shop. It doesn't need a lift though, it needs a pit. Have to keep with the times.
