Worked on my dad's galaxie with him. Got it started lowering the front suspension, fixed an oil pan leak, and getting figured out what all we need to order to get the car together.

Put a new master cylinder on my 59 Edsel, blew out a brake hose.
I was going to replace them anyway, but I've got plenty of pedal now.
We also removed the gas tank and it looked better than expected.

  3. I made my radiator and grill shell mounts for the t and swore at it a lot

  9. well, i got about 4 hours of sleep friday night, wife & I got up about 2am & drove about 110 miles to Portland airport arriving at 5 am Saturday morning & dropped off her off for a trip to visit her sis in eastern Oklahoma, then left airport and went to see my daughter and grandkids that live about 35 miles from the airport and stayed there til about 2pm (needed a nap but didnt get one), then drove the 110 miles back home and picked up my son and we went to the 1/4 mile oval dirt track 360 sprint car races about 20 miles south of my home..got home about midnight, Zonked out til about 6 this morning, son stayed overnight and made me breakfast of scrambled eggs, toasted bagel, some yogurt, OJ, and coffee...then we went out in the garage, and worked on a wedged framed & stretched go-kart we have been on-and-off building for the last 5 years or so...and we finally got the engine (250 Honda XLR) running...Son was ear to ear grins the rest of the day. That warmed up the old ticker....my youngest daughter came over & did some laundry and put together a Hamburger BBQ with all the trimmings for us...so all in all, it was a pretty nice weekend except for not a lotta sleep and I'm feeling it now, having to get to work in about 6 hours.

Punkabilly1306 came over and helped us bale hay! Did get the 54 Bel Air moredoor down off the blocks and checked out the lowered stance in the rear. Looks much better. Gotta cut the coils in the front now. 744 bales of hay later, I'm dead and need to leave for work in 9 minutes but I'm dead...gotta go!

I started moving 17 years worth of leftover parts from past projects along with all of the parts from current projects to my new shop. Man I keep too much junk. The more I go through, the bigger the scrap metal pile gets. I am ready to be done moving. I am starting to wish I would have spent enough time on my GTO to get it back on the frame and rolling before the move.

Drove 3 hour to the dragstrip, helped unload and setup everything, got the car on stands to warm it up and seat the clutch, and promptly spun #5 main bearing.

Discovered the entire team are piss poor spectators.

We did however find the perfect starter to make an onboard starter for the car. Get this, its for a P-51 Mustang! 24 volts, 930 ft lbs of torque! Cheaper than RCD blower drive stuff. No more shearing off the belt guard and stands!!!

I guess it was worth the trip.

I kept this from getting crushed in Mexico Friday, Sunday I went to where I stored it in Mexico and started taking off the easily stolen cool shiny stuff and removed the back hatch and glass to keep cholos from throwing rocks through it.

Not sure what I'll do with it, probably pass it on (although my wife loves it).

We also made a carne asada and emptied out a case or so of Tecate.

After sorting out the starter motor on saturday. I worked on gettting the motor ready to fire up. First tried on sunday around luncthime. No spark. Turns out (I know you guys wont be suprised) the Mallory unilite has a bad module in it. So I gave up came back inside, then thought Feck It, went back out and put the old hei distributor on it. Got it fired up around 9pm last night - YEAH! Sounded ok, except I didnt mount the radiator properly and the fan blade hit it, also one of the carbs is leaking inside. I will pickup a couple of carb rebuild kits tonight and put them in. But this was a milestone! Plenty of little things to do now. I hope in about 2 weeks to be able to drive it...

Drove down to Tulsa Fri. to pick up my 4 banger and tranny from Goztrider. Hell of a nice guy! He took me for a little run around his neighborhood in his cool RPU. (my first roadster ride:D Thanks Greg!!)
And then I drove back the 5-1/2 hrs. home and took advantage of Fathers Day weekend by doing nothing:rolleyes: ....

Pulled the rear end out of the 56 after it had burned a passenger side wheel bearing fro the 4th time in about 500miles ( I would like to point out that the 500 miles have been acumulted over 12 years but that is another story)

Looks like the 9" casing was not set up properly and one of the tubes is out a nats so hopefully this will get attended to over the week so I can throw it back in Saturday.
