I need a shift collar? for a 1950 Olds Rocker 88 with the caddy 3 speed on the tree. It's the piece on the column the shifter connects to... I'm not really sure what it's called so... Anyone know where I can get one? Mine is broken and not repairable :(. I really dont want to cut the floor and put a floor shift in it. Thanks.

Here are some pics of the car and the piece I'm talking about, click on the image to make it bigger. Any know if this piece is interchangable with other years/makes?

the only interchange for Olds parts is usually Buick, but your car looks like it shares stuff with Chevrolet & Pontiac.

wasn't the '50 Olds windshield a favorite to swap into chevys?

hopefully you won't have to swap the whole column, just the shift collar.

    Bump.

I'm not having much luck with this. I assume this piece is pot metal? Anyone know who does pot metal repair? I just need the area built up, I can handle the grinding/drilling/machining.
