Here is a nice indoor car photo of the Lopez mercury in its first "mild" version. The photo is from the Barry Mazza Collection. Barry bought this complete interior when Charlie updated his to "swiffle velvet" seats and a mich wilder Gull Wing version.
Cool post Groucho......I dig 'em man.... A freind just bought his wife a '65 Impala, black w/ black vinyl top and rallye wheels, pretty nice car.....but the vinyl roof need replaced. I told him it needs lowered with a flake/lace/paneled roof and some Astros or better yet, Cragars w/narrow whites....he's not too hip on it. Musclecar-type ya know.... I showed his wife a few pics of what I had in mind and she digs it......we'll see. I want to shoot it........BAD!
here are some pics of a 68 i done a while back.. still has compound on the hood though in the one pic.
I like this style the best. I think the best lowriders look almost stock, but with all the accessories and bumper guards and whatnot on them, sitting really low. The wild mural paintjobs and square headlights on everything was never my style, but I still like to look at them.
I like the early style lowriders, I suppose that's what my 65 belair is. It's a more door all shaved, real astro's reverse offset from the 60's, green flake flames, crushed velvet green interior and 1 1/2 off the ground with flame throwers ya lot's o fun.
Thank You, Rikster!! You are "da MAN"! My good buddy, Mike Maver's lifted '64 in 1982. My attempt in 1976, '65 Bonney.... This sure is fun, ya gotta love the HAMB!
Here's a few shots of my friends Corvair done up full custom lowrider style. What do ya guys think. D.A. designed it himself and his brother did the chop and other metalwork at the Drag 'N Shop. Mike P.S. That's D.A. talking with Larry Watson in the first photo.
That Corvair is *****ing. Wait til you see my Capri, I'm hoping I hit the mark with it, I'm real excited.
one of the guys at work has a nice 70 Impala with a smashed frontend..nice blue w/black vinyl top,new black interior,Targetmaster 350,AC works, Cragar wires, tastefully lowered, smashed DS front corner, $1500.. I've got a fourdoor,no engine or ***le, nice frontend...Hmmm..I might be lowridin....
Yea. I like ol' lowriders. Thanx for pix. Keep 'em comin. Anyboby have 49-52 "chebby taildraggers" pix....?
THANk U ORN....I've wanted pix like tese for a long time. Now I wish I could afford that for mine,,,All I have is a 3" inch drop.
I really dig the lowrider scene. Not so much rollin on 22's but late sixties and seventies. I think thats were its at. Let's face it flat black is flat boring. It was cool, but now put it on the shelf with day glow colors and checker board graphics. Let the hawaiian shirt crew have it.
